Ultra Light SIB Fishing Deep Water

Fishing on a small inflatable boat certainly has its pros and cons and in this trip I experience many of them!
Dodgy weather forecasts didn’t get in the way of us finding some prime fish on the reefs to both soft plastics and jigs fished in depths of 10m-60m ! At times the wind got the better of this 3.5m flat hulled SIB so we took shelter and drifted freshly caught mackerel baits on the clean ground.
This SIB actually benefited from having 2 up and a load of kit, the new 20hp Tohatsu was another important confidence booster.

I have just bought my first light weight flat bottomed sib. Bark330 and plan on using it for inshore fishing. This was the perfect vid for me. Does that sib you had today have a solid floor or air deck ? How about a vid on how to set up a sib for first time fishers ?. Keep up the great videos. Subbed after watching this.

They are great outboards, still a tad heavy for me to manage on/off. Of course the 20,15, and 9.9 engines are identical bar the ECUs.

Excellent-well done; first rate knowledge. After a lifetime of freshwater (trout/salmon) fishing and good old-fashioned sea fishing with huge weights I've got a Honwave and a 15hp outboard-really looking forward to some inshore bass flyfishing-what could go wrong ? Maybe you could target an estuary near you and show us how it's done ? Tom PS-Mullet on the fly would be good, too

I've got a 9.9hp and I'm looking at doing my first coastal trip (2 up) in my 3.2m soon on Lincolnshire coast. I like this sort of vid as it gives a good idea of what I can expect. No bays where I'm going though! So good vid, cheers. When you say "flat bottomed" does it not even have an inflatable sausage keel?

No inflatable keel, the tubes have more contact with the water than the hull/deck

This SIB certainly wouldn’t of been my first choice but as it’s on loan to me I thought it only right to put it through the paces. Something with bigger tubes and a deep V would be much more comfortable, that’s something I’ll be moving onto soon all going well.

Why do you need an 8 ft lure rod? Your at sea!

7-8ft is the ideal length for my fishing. Just because it’s on a boat doesn’t mean it’s not useful to have decent casting range.

Im not putting time stamps just to prove you wrong but he puts all the pollock back and brill it clearly shows it in the vid! The wrasse he deffo would of put back as nobody eats wrasse! So show me any evidence in the vid wear he's is keeping any fish? Oban is a renowned for catch and release! Most youtube angler's are these day! Why don't you focus your opinion on the huge trawlers that come over from Japan and other contries to rape our waters and take more than they need! Instead of trolling small youtubers ! Get a life
