The legend goes that as a very early recipient of a spanking new promo, Louie Vega broke 'Free' at the 1997 Winter Music Conference. And it is true that the MAW man was a big supporter of Ultra's comeback record on her new label, but some records are hits the moment the final stop button gets pushed in the recording studio, and 'Free' is one of them. Lovingly crafted by Mood II Swing with the help of a huge guitar riff and Ultra's anthemic chorus, 'Free' landed up as one of the undisputed biggest dance records of the 1990s.

I remember this song when I was about 14 in vacation here in Italy where me and my friends used to go to clubs all the summer dancing the house music at that time... Now I'm 39 and so many things are changed after such a long time, one of my friend lives in Colombia and I lost contact with many except than with my cousins on Facebook.
