ULTRA RACING FENDER BRACES : MX5 TURBO BUILD pt 45

Thank you for doing this video. I had seen these braces before watching, but I didn't buy them as they said that they only fitted the NA and I have an NB, after watching this video I ordered them. I just fitted them this weekend and had to do the same thing you did with the bottom hole. One other thing I noticed is if you put the braces back to back they don't match, not that this is a problem, I had to work out them out separately. They look great, shame to hide them with the wing/fender. I've yet to see if they make a difference as, like you I'm doing a rebuild and can't wait to drive it.

Im glad this video helped you, yeah it seems alot of things say they are for the NA and NB but when fitting to an NB things tend to need modification. thats strange, i never put mine back to back but thats interesting. yeah i wish we didnt have to hide them specialy when they are pink 😉😎

Honestly, I think this is an indictment against manufacturers. If braces can do this, all cars should come with extra bracing and rigidity from the factory. Maybe a 20 pound penalty to do it right? What's that?

unfortunately most of the times for manufactures it comes down to cost, the more they add to a car the more expensive the car gets in manufacturing. or its an after thought

Awesome mate. I put mine on a few weeks ago, after buying them direct from the factory when I was in Malaysia recently. On an NA the door hinge holes seemed to line up perfectly. How did you go with the inner nut (that you need ALL the extensions for) ? I found it *very* tricky to tighten with the brace in place.

Every product I purchased from ultra racing doesn't seem to fit properly ' or needs some type of adjustment ' don't think they even bother to check the fitment ' so now I have swapped it all out for hardrace items

As i still am yet to drive the car i couldn't possibly say. but everyone has given me great reviews and have said they do make cornering better as there is less front end flex
