Apparently the Protovest dryers were replaced with air cannon dryers and the wash now has a new entrance arch

I can't imagine the amount of scratches and swirls you have on your car. Not only the brushes but the dryers were literally dragging across the car.

@@thecarwashelevatorfanatic7433 how is it not true? those are filament brushes and the (I think) plastic from the blowers were scratching his car. I am not one of those people who say all car washes scratch your car because Modern car washes with closed cell foam and soft cloth brushes are safe for vehicles and don't scratch. I take my car through the car wash all the time with the newer brushes, but the older ones definitely do scratch.

@@Alex.AL_26 - When properly lubricated the bristle are the safest because they're the only ones that don't hold grit and silt. The "soft" cloth was always the most damaging because the nap of the material allowed the grit to be held in the material. When I bought my first wash, the Peco 118's cloth was so full of grit that when I bent the extrusions back and forth the sand particles would fall out of the cloth. Foam is terrible because it misses so much, and the dry nature of the material makes grit want to adhere to it. Lammscloth seems to do well though, because the pile of the material is deep, and it's density allows for thorough flushing. I may do a bristle/lammscloth tunnel next time around. And for the record, because I owned a car wash I was able to take my gf's truck through Belanger's brand new spin lite wash. They had a couple owner/operators out one day and let us take a ride through. I had just polished her truck to perfection and it left scratches in her paint. Arguably one of the most advanced, brand new systems to be created, not open to the public, but still scratched her paint.

Was gonna say it kinda looks like older hodge.
@MichiganCarWashes3 жыл бұрын
That actually may be. I noticed the rocker/grill brushes fling off to the side like the videos of modern hodge brushes do.
