My 3 yr. old son actually got me in to collecting Hot Wheels. I would buy him Hot Wheels whenever we were out as a way to keep him busy while he and I would wait for mommy to finish shopping at the mall. Best bang for the buck! Sometimes I would join him and I make the car sound effects. Now I still buy him 1 or 2 and I would maybe get 2 or 3... we both win! P.S. don't show that clip with the car set being violated to TheFloridaMan he would have a heart attack. Like you said to each their own. Some collect cardboards and boxes and some actually like the products inside them. Keep up the great content. Looking forward to the next one.

You're right. I got into it bc I thought it was cool and a cheaper hobby than many. You Tube put me on the game of hunting. It was a thrill for me and gave me something to look forward to. It was a bit of time before I even heard about treasure hunts and supers. Yes, I look for them but finding what I call "cool finds" are what keeps me in love with the hobby.

Im actually trying to buy less and get the castings I enjoy or ones I dont already have. Ive been sticking to the NEW models each year that I like. They make quite a few each year, but not all of them are desirable. I enjoy the hunt very much however I usually keep walking if there are too many people surrounding the hot wheels. If kids are there, then I also keep walking. I think im a collector, but im not anal about it like an avid collector might. So I use stealth and memory to get to the haul. It works because I do have the time to pick those moments. Nice vids walter. I will continue updating my hot wheels addiction.

For me, in my small local community it's mostly boomers who only like TH, STHs, american muscle etc and often snob anyone else. So, just what I do, like and feel in the hobby is...I do what I want. I collect jdm type casts, any brand, use apoxy and styrene, resin cast my own extra parts like body kits, aftermarket wheels with real riders etc and make and paint whatever i want in fleet builds. They abhor me for it because it's "not authentic HW" or american muscle etc but I don't care. I just like owning 1/64th scale things that make me happy.

One thing I love most about this hobby is that it could give me a glimpse of feeling... I mostly collect classic JDM, and I love to look at them while listening to classic city pop songs... a nostalgic trip to the times when I was never a part of... if that makes sense, lol. Sure, the Treasure hunt and supers are great and I would love to find them, but those are just bonus IMO...

Walter, keep doing what you do, brother. Don’t ever change. Personally, I collect for a few reasons. I love cars, and have always loved them. If I had enough money and space, there’s plenty in real life I’d love to own. Die cast allows me to do that in a way. Another reason, is nostalgia. These little cars bring back fond memories of when I was a little dude. TH’s, Supers, and chases are great. Of course I get stoked when one comes my way, but they aren’t my primary motivation. There’s lots of cool stuff out there, if people would just be open to it.

Lawd Bro! We well...don't get enough JDM . Number 1 it is very hard to get them. Number 2 when don't get them in the stores we have to pay more to get them from other sources. That box homie was kicking around I already know I'm not going to be able to purchase. The yellow civic that is in that set was once A fast and Furious car which I don't have. So for me the more JDM the better. I don't speak for no one but myself. I love Skylines because I owned one. I wish I could have one in every type and every color. Don't get me wrong I love Mopar, VW Corvette Mustangs and GM cars.

SHOUT OUT TO YOU FROM THE GUITAR GOON ON PHX! I also have the MBX cycle hauler set and the B case super Merc, MoonEyes cool combi and surf crate TH So here's my deal. I just became a homeowner year ago last October and my home is so small. There's no way I could have an entire room to build a collection nor do I Have The financial Resources To properly Keep A Collection that Large without it becoming damaged and thus. Less valuable So yes I am an entry level basic line collector but it is because of you I have been more conscious of the cars that I collect in the basic line so that I keep my expenditures low. I've had large collections in the past and just ended up selling them for pennies on the dollar what I paid for them. And also some of them I've given away to charity but I love being part of this community. I love watching your show it keeps me inspired to continue collecting the small numbers of cars because there's no way. I could house a collection anywhere near the size of Yours nor do I wish to be a collector on that level? The cars that I collect bring me joy of course. It's all mostly licensed stuff but I do have some of the other stuff too like tuned Silverado's and other fantasy cars that fit the motof Of racing. So that's my two cents Thank you Walter. for what you do and keep it me inspired I love watching the war report I almost forgot to add I'll be sixty in october so i'm an older collector
