This was an extremely fun event at my native home of Puerto Rico! Snake Eyez and Infiltration both played great here and this tournament overall had lots of showmanship.
The Grappler on Grappler war between Zangief and Hugo is extremely exciting in this game, with both characters capable of huge momentum swings at any moment. Scoops and claps for days!

@Salty 5000 nah, but I just think people have forced themselves into 5. I don't see much hype behind it as this. Granted there's only 1 way to play it, up in someone's face. Whereas 4 had great defensive players offensive. I'd rate 4 pretty low on the totem pole anyways, ST and third strike & alpha 2 gold are the best, but for modern fighters 4 was excellent and 5 is one of my biggest regrets buying this gen. Can't wait to see what's next, it can only get better from this low.

Part 4 is definitely right in the middle compared to SF1, Sf2 world warriors, SF3 new generations where sean was top tier was broken...I would say alpha 2, third strike, Super sf turbo grand master edition, sf4

This was a fucking masterclass of Street Fighter. ridiculous footsies, laser spacing, godlike neutral, sharp reads, masterful execution and extraordinary mind games. This match had everything SF is all about. Except zoning, FADCs and SUPER and ULTRA cancels. This was something legendary.

Watching this again in 22 and it's evident why it's better... Capcom is like any business enterprise, they wanna make money...sfv was made so that it would be easier to play hence more players playing...sf4 had so much more depth and took more skill to play, which kinda excludes the population at large and Capcom wants that $$$ ... Look at Ed, a player literally made so the casual could play him...I hope they bring back depth like this but I doubt it... Ain't no money in it if only the pros can be successful at it... It's why you saw so many new faces pop up in pro tournaments... It attracted more players

Hugo was such a good character choice here. Snake Eyez has tons of experience in every Zangief matchup, especially the bad ones... but not Hugo, since nobody ever plays him. Those Meat Squashers just kept squishing him and he clearly had no response. If Snake Eyez had more Hugo experience he would have won... but if he did, Infiltration would have picked another character and probably beat him with that. Super fun match, congrats to both players. I miss this era of competitive Street Fighter.

Infiltration is the absolute smartest SF4 in the world. Switching characters doesn't affect your timing and reflexes, and considering 90% of all pro SF players pick the same character, why not counter pick? I wish he had applied this a few EVO's back, still sad that he lost to Tokido's boring Akuma.
