I have my ultra Tiny games with me everywhere. Only complain is that the boxes have gotten very ragged from laying in my bag. It is a bit fiddly , but it works and it’s so awesome to always have a super cool game ready wherever you are.

i know you can get a dual plastic case to hold 2 decks of cards for playing bridge. Maybe there’s a solution out there?

Dollarama.... two piece travel soap container.... keeps EVERYTHING in there including all cards sleeved. I bring it with my into the backcountry to play a big game without it taking up much space or weight in my pack!!!

Yeah, I totally backed thins on KS despite owning the base and expansion like you. I LOVE its ultra portability, but When I travel with games, I'm often bringing the Tiny Epic game vault with me already to be "ready for anything." That said, the game is amazing, I think that the size is great, and with my affinity for pocket sized-mint tin games, this was an insta-buy.
@NightsAroundaTable4 жыл бұрын
Have you considered putting it in an Altoids tin or something? i'm worried the cardboard box will get a little too beat up if i start travelling with it.

I just bought Ultra Tiny Epic Galaxies because I can’t find the other version at the moment. I’m looking forward to it, and don’t think I’ll mind the size. I love the travel size tbh! Great video 😊

The regular Tiny Epic Galaxies is out of print in the States. I bought the Ultra Tiny Epic Galaxies. This seems like a classic pub and travel game. Game play is great. However, on an airplane ride a bit of turbulence could make you lose your components. If you’re sitting at a restaurant entrance; make sure it isn’t too windy outside. 😃

And definitely do it jump out of the plane. Your whole game will be wrecked for sure.

Mine arrived last week. I got it because of what you said during a Rahdo video. I will try it this week. You don't have to put the cubes on top of each other, you could form a line (off card), if your table is big enough for this hog!

Love the idea of using the self-adhesive vinyl tape. I have so many games that have "loose" decks (where there's a slot in the tray, but it's not super secure. Do you remember where you bought it?

i do! You can buy it at hardware stores or sex shops. Really.

It looks cute. Honestly, I already have issues reading the small print on the original cards, so I would never consider buying it. Maybe another magnifying glass :)

Ultra tiny is so ultra cute! But I think I’ll stick with regular tiny epic galaxies (since I already have it and the expansion). Where did you get that self adhesive vinyl tape? That’s a brilliant idea!

Hard to remember... i might have picked it up on Amazon, or at a hardware store? i have been considering offering a Nights Around a Table-branded roll.

That’s not a bad idea. Bypass shirts and mugs and go straight for the game accessory merch. That’s aimed more towards your audience.

It's worth noting the Rogue Galaxies in UTEG are different than the original ones in TEG.

Is size the only difference between tiny and ultra tiny?
@NightsAroundaTable3 жыл бұрын
The “dice” are made from wood in Ultra, and apparently the solo mode opponents are different than in the original.
@ProRusher262 жыл бұрын
Is this compatible with the regular sized expansions?
@NightsAroundaTable2 жыл бұрын
Not really? Beyond the Black adds special ships, and they're all biggie-sized. But if you could find some small cubes from another game to represent them, you might be ok. (The cubes in this one are about the size of, say, the player cubes in Terraforming Mars - like, those standard acrylic ones)
@blackjack21504 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video! The Ultra Tiny version definitely seems fiddly. I consider more of a novelty item, than a proper game. Do you know there a new version of the game coming out this year? It's called T.E.G. Blast Off and it looks to be a streamlined/simplified version, with no text on the planet cards. (On a side note, the video quality seems to be off. I went back to your original TEG video and it looks considerably better).
@NightsAroundaTable4 жыл бұрын
i just learned about Blast Off! while i was preparing this video. The quality of my live-to-tape stuff is lower than my How to Play videos because i am switching live, which requires me to capture the viewfinder output of my DSLR with a capture card. The viewfinder runs slightly smaller than 1080p, so the image is upscaled a touch. But if you can bear the quality loss, doing it that way saves me hours of editing.

I enjoy the original but won't be picking up the Ultra Tiny version. Like you said, too fiddly. I also sleeve all my games, so it wouldn't even fit back in the box :(

Definitely Tiny first. Ultra Tiny is sort of a novelty. i would hate to try to learn the game using that version.

@@NightsAroundaTable Thankyou. So you recommend the original version and not the deluxe version?
@NightsAroundaTable3 жыл бұрын
@@rodjude6780 Oh right - i forgot about the Deluxe. The Satellites and Superweapons mini-expansion is fine, but not essential. Get it if you're a completist, but don't beat yourself up about it if you grab a non-deluxe copy. You can always buy the mini-expansion from BGG later.
