OpenBCI was founded in 2013 and is now one of the top platforms for EEG and whole-body BCI. We combine open-source hardware and software to provide users with toolkits for obtaining, visualizing, and analyzing bioelectrical feedback (EEG, EMG, ECG).
One of the greatest advantages of our platform is the modular, customizable, and wireless design of our EEG set-ups!
We are working toward a future in which humans can tap into and unlock their brain potential using technology, and own their brain/mind data.
See what we offer the neurosensing/biosensing beginner, hacker, research scientist, or just the curious at shop.openbci.com. Check out the developments with OpenBCI tech at the forefront of brain-computer interface technology at openbci.com/community!

O1 -> Red, O2 -> Brown. The website gives the correct setup, and this video swaps around the mistake without mentioning it or correcting it (really, guys?) And also mixing up C3 and C4 and blue and green (also mentioned in another comment) is not great. I'd correct the video or remove it and point people to the website. No point in having so many mistakes in a tutorial video. But the website, in the 16 channel setup, mixes up the 8" and 12" sizes (says to take 8" colours, which have already been used, when it needs to say the longer 12" ones). Hoping this comment saves a few people the hassle I went through figuring it all out :-) And at 09:01 he says "P3" but puts it in T8 while the text says T3, right after mislabelling T7 as T8. Right hand side (left-side from our viewpoint) is where the even electrodes go. Odd on the other side. I give up.

I am trying to assemble and I really have hard time because it is not clear what connects to what and if the corresponding colors are matching the instructions. If the wires could have numbers would be great. I think you need to have a video of a how to connect daisy board to a ready helmet and I cannot figure out how to connect y-spider cable . - It does not make since in a manual - tat color order does not matter. and what I have to follow if there is mistake. what shall I do?

It took me like almost an hour to figure out to install-splitter cable to the bottom SRB pins and to black air clip. I and I am seeking the bottom bias pin of the cyton.

Great video! Missed explaining how you turned the ground on the boards. Another thing, instead of presenting the OpenBCI GUI running on 16 channels, you chose only 8...

I'm slightly concerned that your model uses screw-adjustable fitting. This copes with different skull sizes, but may be less accurate for non-standard skull arches, as the 10-20 system depends on registration at the Nazion and Inion points. Simply plonking it on a head misses that, doesn't it? What I'm more specifically focusing on here is the wide range of cranial shapes, particularly between those of pure HS and HN genotypes. Some racial differentiation may also be pertinent, we also have to consider that some studies suggest a lengthening and narrowing of the skull in the US which is less perceptible in Europe: nutritional intake in childhood and adolescence may be relevant.

@@tylerharris885 one example i could think of is for health care, think of someone that has a communication disorder, a device like this could help data analyst discover particular bio electrical feedback to understand the patients needs, which in turn could save someones life

I really want to know why these are still so expensive. If you can get a Pi for less than 200, an Iphone for 1k or a whole ass laptop for 1.5k why the fk is this little PCB, plastic and wires 1k?
