It's wild that we've had the same exact thought as it would fit Q's mystery way too well. Bar none the coolest thing about Q is the fact that since he lacks the usual vocalizations of the SF cast, all his move names come from second hand accounts of people who've seen him use them. Q is super mysterious, but something that I think people tend to gloss over is his insane strength. Other characters can shoot lasers or spin in the air, but Q can bring down both of his hands on the back of someone’s neck so hard the ground shatters and they go flying upwards. He is truly inhuman.

Q reminds me of Michael Myers in many ways. He doesn't speak, breathes heavily, he's murderous, comes from out of nowhere when he wants, stares and stalks a lot, has super strength, doesn't run but walk, and wears a mask except it's made of iron.

Given G's reception I do wonder if we get any advances on the Q/G stuff in SF6 but I think it's plausible that the gold fully takes him over and that's why Q doesn't have any exposed skin. Ultimately, Q wasn't designed with an elaborate backstory but as a homage to Robotto Keiji/The Question/Rorschach and other noir tropes. This theme really works with that.

I've been thinking about this for a while, but what if G isn't actually Q? What if G really does become President of the Earth and has an army of Qs as a secret service of sorts? Maybe G taught them his fighting style, but the Qs haven't perfected it yet, hence the "downgrades" to the moves.

It makes sense, given that G can use magma in his attacks and has weird gold accents that make Q seem more normal, with the closest Q coming to G's power being an explosion. Not to mention that Q straddles the line between machine and man at times, having a metal head even when shocked, spouting computerized warnings during a Super, and shutting down if killed by chip damage, complete with his eyes going dark. That said, he also has a very smooth and human parry where he brushes off his coat, and a muscular system seen when he gets shocked. Maybe the Illuminati's tech is being used to make cyborgs?

Cool Keeper Gill does note that he’s seen G’s powers before. Maybe they were impressive enough for Gill to want soldiers like that. Or something. Here’s something to think about, Maybe G and Q are part of some organization, with all of the members being named after a letter in the alphabet, with the trench coat and metal mask being their main outfit, which explains why G has a similar costume to Q in his character story in sfv.This could also explain Q’s ending where there were a string of unsolved murders, and this organization was sending these members to do them.

Honestly, when I was getting into 3rd Strike and just messing around with arcade mode on my own time playing Necro, I got the chance to fight Q, and this track super threw me off. I knew Q existed, I kinda knew how he's really mysterious and stuff, but I wasn't ready for his music to freak me out the way it did - I really felt like I stepped into some shit I just wasn't supposed to.

Well he does a truckload of damage and has the best defensive capabilities in the entire game. He just suffers from bad mobility and being in a game where high mobility, offense, and projectiles are extremely useful and just being a tank who can take a hit and dish one out isn't really a desired trait in characters as much as other good traits
