Just played it and i think it is peak‼️‼️‼️, here are my thoughts that nobody asked for: -I loved the boss intro -The level art style is beautiful -The music is great -General encounters are good -I loved the yellow terminal, its so eerie -I like the little details like the buttons designs and all of the interiors THE ENEMIES The Humour: this is my least favorite one because it doesn't do much more than just being there, i think if he has some distance attacks to atract you or it leaves a trail of fire would be funny but idk i'm not an expert The Medium: I really liked it, it has so much potential for some fun and hard encounters The Pulpa: Intro and build up were on point, the battle is weird but fun Oh and the red hookpoints aren't that useful, the explosion area isn't that great and it deals you damage (the damage thing could function like the gutterman explosion), idk how to make it useful tho, maybe more damage area and more cooldown And i think that 8-1 NEEDS an update because this one is like 10 times better in everything, and maybe the humour could appear there with a proper intro so it has more time to shine. (I think its obvius but i hope that 8-1 is going to be in the same package with 8-2) (sorry if bad english)🕊🕊🕊

The Humour is built to be another fodder enemy. It in fact leaves a trail of uhh something but it might be not up to date im not sure lol. It's Tulpa not Pulpa Red hookpoints are kind of just there, i kinda agree. They will be properly introduced and more used in updated 8-1 Which, talking about 8-1, yeah, we're remaking it. Humours and Red Hookpoints will be introduced in it And yep, we're doing a full layer. We have a liiiittle bit of work on 8-3 being done right now and we'll be back on 8-1 as soon as Bendya is fine with doing open spaces again

After playing through it I would like to note that a big issue I encountered was that the game's performance seems to dip as you play though it. I play on a laptop, so having an option at the start to turn on optimizations for the level somehow would help for players on the lower end of the pc spectrum.

I was a little mixed on the original one, but I came back to this and was blown away! I love the new enemies, the context behind their existence with the cool terminal entries, and the terminal jingle before the boss really spooked me. Looking forward to what you do next!

yet another case of "i want to be P-2.2" where the level is ten minutes of 3 enemy waves in every single area with no freedom of priority, forcing you to bear with an idoled virtue or else you'll be shredded by annoying projectile spam because you can't focus on 5+ enemies at once. "two guttermen spawning on separate, hard to reach platforms will surely be fun and not irritating to play against" this is why there's no such thing as a good ultrakill custom level.

I've finished reading this, and I have to ask, did you play the level? Let's take a quick look at your arguments: 1. The level is 10 minutes long. It's a longer level for sure, but it's certainly not 10 minutes. I can comfortably P-rank it in 6, but I'm a developer so who knows what that means. Still, it's fairly simple to get a seven-minute completion. 7-2's S-Rank time is 7:15, and 8-2 is supposed to be more difficult, so yeah. The rankings are pretty lenient on both time and style in my opinion. P-2 was really difficult for me to get the requisite style. 2. The encounters are all grueling. (Three waves, No freedom of priority, idoled virtue, etc.) There aren't any three-wave encounters in the whole level, so I'm not sure where you got that from. About freedom of priority, there is exactly one single idol in the whole level, and the Mediums can be shot down from afar (Since this video was uploaded, they've also been nerfed and made significantly easier to kill.) In general, you can choose how you play most arenas. An example can be the last arena. I usually focus the sentry, then the insurrectionist, and then the supporting cast, but most people I see choose to deal with the insurrectionist first. If you need another example, I've seen plenty of people choose to kill a lot of enemies before killing the Medium, which is a perfectly fine thing to do. And finally, the idoled virtue. It's really not a big deal at all in the level. There are two hookpoints in the tower that are both directly below the virtue. One of them even takes you nicely to the idol where you can punch it and then go straight up to the virtue, where you are safe from literally every other threat in the arena, and kill it. Once you take the five seconds to get to the virtue, there is no projectile spam. Additionally, the amount of furniture in the middle tier allows you to safely focus the Gutterman without really having to worry about the fodder. 3. The two Guttermen that spawn (I assume you mean the second wave on the Bridge? If not, please let me know!) are irritating and too far away. Ultrakill is a movement shooter. It's really not hard to get between the Guttermen. You could use a rocket, you could Whiplash (it does in fact work on shielded Guttermen, you just have to aim a little better), you could use a dash-jump. Also, Guttermen are programmed to not fire at you if you're behind another Gutterman, so you just have to stand such that one is blocking the other and then you're good. Not irritating for myself or anyone else who I've watched play the level. 4.The mannequins blend in and are hard to see. Their joints glow bright orange. They also have a very large parry flash on their melee attack, and a very visible animation where they charge their teal projectile. Additionally, there's nothing wrong with making enemies difficult to see. Take a look at 6-1's bean room. Please understand that I do not mean to seem accusatory here, it's just that it's a bit upsetting to hear our level deemed a P-2 wannabe. We in fact do not want our level to be like P-2, and I do not feel like it plays that way. I actually despise P-2, and I find this level to be a much more enjoyable experience. I don't think it's necessarily fair to label any level that tries to be remotely difficult and long a P-2-alike. I just wonder if you've played this level, as a lot of your grievances sound like they come from watching playthroughs and not experiencing it for yourself. If you did play the level, then I am sorry that you didn't enjoy it. Hopefully you'll like the next level that we release. It should be shorter, at least!

as much as we would like to take your criticism into account, we would suggest you play the level first and then revise what you said, because a lot of the things you said are plain wrong (the medium arena you described is very much there) and you clearly didnt experience it how you should. do it at your own rhythm instead of just watching the video because that'll give you time to take in the enviroments and design much better than how you do by simply looking at gameplay
