In hindsight, the one thing I wish this cover had would be to keep those big open notes during the intro section. The big blasting notes followed by that hollow ethereal tone. It really felt like a siren song combined with this overwhelming display of power. And heavier drums. I want to feel the drumbeat of the autocannons that light up the night.

Listening on headphones. The drums do kick, I just personally prefer the drums to be deeper and boom-ier, if that makes sense. Less sharp crack, more low-pitched rumbling boom like an earthquake, if that makes sense. The drums of Starscourge Radahn from the Elden Ring soundtrack fit that description for me.

There is a unique feeling of this song that seems to not only reflect amazingly in your work, but so too in game. Violence is not just a layer, a ring of punishment, or anything than just that. It’s a reenactment. Though indirect, I believe Violence is just a play that never ceases to end, a reflection of how war in itself: never ends. Sinners stuck in cycles of escape, machines kept in perpetual war, those of self-riddance yearning rest, and man’s colossal machines made only to continue war, it feels no different, doesn’t it?
