This helped a lot with the mindflayers in the campaign but MAN I still keep chocking in the cyber grind thanks to these things. The wide open space of the grind seems to be in a flayer’s favor since it’s teleporting towards you at all times.

The way that I like to do it is that ill listen to the audio. The mindflayer makes noise for every attack and always starts with the instakill one. The instakill one goes up in sound about 5~6 times you should aim to attack right as the third one starts not immediately after the second one but just as you start hearing it start.

Alright I pulled it off. It doesn't seem easy enough to rely on without extensive practice but I think it's worth noting that it is much easier if you get all up in her face, but this poses greater risk of taking damage since the trick needs an explosive radius to pull off. I also have the easiest time doing it with the malicious railgun

Could you do the kill a mindflayer with acid challenge? It's the only one left for me and I just can't do it

What you can do is attack the MiF until she gets enraged in that first room in 3-1. Then you can jump into the acid pool and swim down. I recommend getting the red orb and going back into the acid. She should follow you there. Use the screwdriver (green rail) to keep her in the acid and just unload on her until she dies or weaken her. Fun fact, if you die and wait her out while in the acid, she will eventually die and you will get the challenge, just don't hit CONTINUE if you do die.
