Since the stream yesterday I've had a lot of successful P-rank runs. Here's my fastest time right now and I'm pretty proud of some of the kills I got there, especially on the double insurrs.

@@penguinbenguin Sisyphus' punishment for pissing off the gods from greek mythology is to roll up a boulder/rock up a mountain, but it's impossible to do so. One of the many different reasons as to why it was impossible is because the rock/boulder would become heavier the further he goes up. Also the Sisyphus insurrectionists have a rock attached to them

It's because you get style bonus depending on the last weapon you've used on panopticon So, if your last hit was rocket, you'll get +Exploded

@@Dstryrr yes, I am aware of the concept that sysiphus is happy with fruitless, futile effort. Indominable human spirit and all. What I mean is that even if sysiphus dies, he dies knowing something more powerful and anarchistic than him will likely go on to do pretty much the same thing as him-that being toppling the empire of heaven. The in game sisyphus. You'd imagine the character's motives would be changed with the addition of blood-fuelled robots and the complete and utter destruction of humanity, the probable death of God, and heaven falling into anarchy

Dealing damage to him will make him say things like "Yes, that's it!" or "Keep 'em coming!" in a clearly excited tone. While he can't know for certain what V1 intends to do, I would like to think he imagines V1 is more or less just going on a rampage on everything, and that that will eventually take them to Heaven -and if V1 could kill both Minos and Sisyphus, I also imagine he is confident that V1 will at least give the armies of God a hard time.

Almost every game is designed to prioritize 1 hp to make it more intense. You can take lethal damage and if it's one or two points in it becomes 1 hp

In case of ultrakill i must disagree. In the video before V1 got 1 HP left, he had 31 HP and survived Sword spin atack from Swordmachine that deals 30 damage. Also from all my playtime I never caught myself in a situation with 1-3 hp left after lethal enemy atack. Ultrakill is not that type of a game to sugarcoat incoming damage

A little trick for the idoled mindflayer: if it's far back enough in the hallway you can shoot it with the screwdriver railcannon, then run into the arena. It'll lock it out of the arena since it can't teleport in, and if it's far away enough it'll be unable to phase into the room. This way you only have to deal with one mindflayer hunting you down, and once that one's killed you can kill the mindflayer outside of the arena with coins and projectile boosts.

I just finished this level for the first time, completely spoiler free and in one sitting (D 133 restarts). I was on call with some friends and the amount of times I said "say sike right now" with a look of pure incredulity and betrayal on my face was completely unreal. I can't imagine how loudly Hakita was cackling as he meticulously crafted this truly despicable gauntlet. P-1 was a warning. P-2 was a funeral. Sisy was sexy as fuck though so I can't really complain.

I might be wrong, but I think killing panopticon is actually slightly faster if you don't attack it until the yellow bar underneath its health fills up, since it dies as soon as that bar is empty. Or rather, any damage dealt to it before that bar is full is essentially wasted, so it's best to save your saws until then.

Problem is, on his first teleport he will track your movement, unless you wait for him to first TP to you, then dash and start sliding, in as close to what you can form to a circle. During that combo, your safest best is to be moving perpendicularly to where he faces, otherwise you will get. At he is about to do his finishing stomp i usually jump, face him and hit him with feedbacker for a parry.
