at last, someone who lives in the real world. thank you Dave. those guys that do those reviews on some of that camping equipment really get on my nerves. there is no way I could ever afford or would even consider paying that much for some of that stuff. as far as your rain test goes , your not gonna get rain hitting as hard as that hose puts out . all my stuff is military surplus or from Walmart and to me it's as good or better than that real expensive stuff . I agree. The important thing is getting out. If I had to wait to buy the stuff those guys are pushing. I would never be able to get out. Thanks for commenting. Have a great week. 👍🙂🙏

I love it!!! You should call these videos “ The frugal camper”. Nobody needs to spend a fortune to have fun. 🤗

So true! Crazy what they try to get people to spend. Thanks for watching. 👍🙂🙏🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞

Great job Dave! I’ve been using the same pair of Outdoor Products trekking poles for 4 years and hundreds of miles with no complaints! There’s nothing wrong with budget gear.

I agree. Some good. Some bad. But proving not all budget gear is junk. Thanks for watching and commenting. 👍

Dave great to see you review some budget friendly gear. Both products seem very nice for that price point.

Time will tell. But some budget gear works fine. Hopefully that will be the case with these items. 👍🌞

Great video and an excellent budget backpacking tent glad to see somebody doing a video on it add mine up in 40 mph winds and rain did great I added two guidelines to the mids of it to give it even more room and some bungees on the vestibule doors I also put my trekking poles in a frame configuration at one end of the tent and a single one at the opposite you can't go wrong with this tent thanks for the video

Awesome, thank you! Seems like a good tent. Worked well on my first outing. People should be told you don't have to spend a fortune to get out in the woods. Keep on adventuring 👍🙂🙏🥾🌲🏕⛺

Thanks, Dave , for reviewing things that Jane and Joe Average can afford, that gets them OUT in nature. Not everyone has a lot of money to spend on fancy equipment. Well done!

For sure. I'll be putting this stuff to the test soon. Stay tuned. Thanks for traveling with me. 👍🙂🙏🥾🌲🌳

It seems like a great deal for $30. At first I was thinking that there’s no way two people can sleep in there but then when you went inside it looked bigger than I thought. Glad the water test worked out well. Hope you get lots of fun out of it in your upcoming camping trip. Have a great weekend. 👍

Thanks. Hopefully it will be good enough. Would love for people to have affordable alternatives that work. God Bless you my friend. Have a great week. 👍🙂🙏🌞🌲🌳🏞

That looks like a great deal! I was surprised by how big it is inside. I want to start doing some overnights on the trail or in campgrounds and this looks like a great purchase. Could definitely get a good nights sleep in that

Hopefully it will hold up. I'll let you know. Thanks for watching and see you on the trail. 👍🙂🙏

Just the tent that I have been looking for! I have a lot of the "expensive backpacking tents", bit this one reminds me of the 'Pup Tent' that I used during my time in the US ARMY. I might pick up a few of these and give them to some people that I plan on taking backpacking/camping!
@dayhikedave9 ай бұрын
Had it out on a camping trip. Worked fine. With the wind the sides flap and make a little noise. But for the price it works. Good luck 👍

Does the tent have anchor points that attach to middle on the long sides of the tent? If not, when the wind shifts at night and hits the tent broad side at higher speeds, you may have trouble. I experienced that while thru-hiking the AT while camping on Max Patch (NC). I had a Big Agnes Fly Creek UL2. After that, I started using the side anchor points and never had a problem again.
@dayhikedave9 ай бұрын
No points on the side. I plan on always trying to gauge the wind during setup for good thru airflow. May help a little. I'm not really expecting much for $30. Just some shelter from the elements. If I were doing a long distance hike I would probably upgrade to a much better setup. Thanks so much for your support and commenting. God Bless. 👍🙂🙏

nice review, i sure can't afford any high-end equipment but I guess I really don't need top end stuff being I just hike several miles a week and have never camped overnight yet ...what would you suggest for a decent budget backpack ?..
@dayhikedave9 ай бұрын
I got a small walmart day pack for day hikes. It even has a water blatter. Although I have removed that and just use bottles. For my backpacking trips i have a kelty 50 litre pack. It was on sale at dicks for $50. Really good pack. Again anything works if it gets you out there. Thanks for watching and commenting. 👍🙂🙏

Hopefully this manufacturer of the tent sees your review and sends you some bonus items free for doing it .
