TBF, it depends on the metrics used. There are harder hitting fish (cod, yebblie, trout, bass, reddies and other ambush predators). There are more challenging fish (those that sit in snags, looking at you blokes). There are fish that are more fussy about what they eat (Silvers, Maccas, Blackfish). Those that are, maybe more edible, however the most widely farmed fish in the the world status of carp might dispute that. However - I challenge anyone to show me a freshwater fish in this country that fights as well, is as tenacious and hard running and never just rolls on its side and "Says, yeah ya got me." Pound for pound, they are the hardest and fastest running fish and the longest fighters due to their red flesh, not white, anaerobic muscle designed for fast power, not staying power as our predators have. Also, they are bloody fun to catch on lures. Can we really say there are better fish? The attitude towards carp really bothers me, as you well know 😁 I remember a time that they were all there was in the waterways and you were thankful to catch one of them.

@@AndrewFishman I just appreciate catching a nice Bass, cod or any native for that matter but in saying that, you can't beat the fight a carp gives and the skill it takes to catch them on lure. At the end of the day any fish is a good fish 👍
