Thank you so much for the review and all your videos on this channel, really inspiring! It seems like our updated Iterus 38L for 2022 covers all your wishes with an ice-axe loop, sewn in mesh shoulder pouch, and other updates! :) Keep up the good work, and we look forward to see more of your great videos from the Scottish outdoors (which looks quite similar to many mountain areas in Norway). Happy hikes! Niccolo/bonfus

Hey guys, appreciate you watching. It is a great pack, since I bought it it’s become my go to choice. The new version looks a clear improvement too. 👌🏼

Looks like a fantastic pack. I currently use the Zpacks Nero 38L for my ultralight pack but love the look of this. Another great, polished review.

Cheers mate! The Nero looks a great simple pack, I was tempted to try one a while back. The Bonfus pack is super well made, and so light 👍 Approach you watching!

Great review as always. I actually bought a Bonfus pack after watching your gear load out video - my first frameless pack. I went with the Saccus in xpac for extra volume (I often carry an apex quilt when I expect it to be wet, it works well but synthetic is bulky). It has sewn in hip belt as I wasn’t quite ready to fully commit to ultra minimalism! Still under 500g even with shoulder pockets, its really well made and comfortable and I like that it forces me to really consider my load out! You’ve been in the highlands a while now, have you got webbed feet yet? 😉
@OutdoorIntrigue2 жыл бұрын
Hey Mike 👋🏼 webbed feet and hands 😉😂 ideal for bog swimming 🏊♂️. The Saccus looks a really cool option, under 500g is still really bloody light! A decent hip belt can make a huge difference, I use a bigger padded one with the Iterus for full winter weight. I like how a smaller frameless pack makes you more considerate about your whole load out. It helps force refinement in exactly what we carry right. 2 years living up here now, still bloody love it 😊.

@@OutdoorIntrigue it’s a stunning part of the world, I’d love to spend more time in the Highlands, I’m about as far away from Scotland as you can be on the UK mainland though ☹️ Good to see Meg back out and I hope your injury proved to be nothing too serious?

Hey there. The distance from the hip belt padded wings to the pack body looks quite far - a long piece of webbing connects them there. So is this effective or would it be better if the padded hip belt wings clipped in closer to the main pack body?

It’s never caused me an issue.

cool chest pocket you have in the video. Where is that from and how happy are you with it?
@OutdoorIntrigue2 жыл бұрын
It’s the OMM chest pod and it’s pretty cheap and works well. I find it great value for money. I don’t use it all the time as sometimes I prefer using shoulder pockets, but it’s a great option.

Again, I have the same gear 😊 38L Iterus made of X-pac. Only one thing I find bad on this pack is that the mesh pockets (I have the optional one at the bottom as well) are little bit loose, but other than that it is a perfect pack.
@OutdoorIntrigue2 жыл бұрын
Seems like you’ve got great taste 😉. Agree on the mesh pocket, but I have to say I’ve not found it an actual issue in use on the back pocket, probably because I usually have a fair bit in it. It’s still my fav pack currently though, just simple and clean right! Cheers for watching mate.

Great review ! I might place an order. I’m concerned about the elasticity of the mesh lycra pocket upper band, in the video it seems that is somehow saggy. Would you say it has the same elasticity as day one ? Thank you !
@OutdoorIntrigue2 жыл бұрын
Cheers! Glad you found it useful. It’s funny you mention the elasticity of the top of the pocket, because I was concerned about it when the pack was new. It was exactly the same when I first got it, it always looks saggy, but when the pockets in use I’ve never had an issue even when crammed with gear. It’s really a very good pack, of all my options if I had to choose one it’d be this one. Take care, Ben.

Hi ! Thanks for your review, I'm looking to buy an Iterus too, but do you know if HMG pods (2400/3400) can fit in this backpack ?

How many days of food can you fit in this pack, provided that the base weight is under 5 kg/10 lbs?
@OutdoorIntrigue2 жыл бұрын
Hey 👋🏼 , do it will be dependent on a number of factors, but if you are mostly carrying dehydrated meals you could definitely carry 4 or 5 days of food with a 5kg base weight. There is also additional room on top of the pack for storage under the strap.
@gedasltu2 жыл бұрын
@@OutdoorIntrigue I have almost identical one (Altus 38, x-pac, with bottom pocket, so it's closer to 40 liters) and wondering if I could stretch it for 6 or even 7 days. I've only tried the backpack on a few short trips so far, but I'm already looking forward to warmer weather when I'll need less gear so I could store more food. It is a very neat pack indeed!
@OutdoorIntrigue2 жыл бұрын
@@gedasltu The Altus with a bottom pocket looks very cool. If I was carrying my summer setup for actual summer weather I think I could carry 6 days food yeah, maybe more. The pack definitely carry’s more weight better with the padded waist belt, I usually use the minimal waist belt in summer but if I was carrying a bigger load for a longer trip I’d go for the padded belt. Great packs aren’t they!

I just got back from a 100 mile walk over 4 days with this pack and 4.5kg base weight and had plenty of room for food.
