Ultralight Overnight Tarp Camping Hike

Packing ultralight I head off into a deep gorge for a quick overnight hiking trip down to a beautiful stretch of river. Stripping my gear right back and taking a tarp for shelter helped me get my base weight down to about 4kg for this trip, of which I was very grateful for on the steep ascent out.

Another great trip. Liked how you had to go down into the valley and then back out again. The opposite to the typical up and down journeys. Would love to see more of this area if you go back. Would also like to see your different tarp set ups.

Thanks! I'm hoping to spend more time along this and some of our other river systems over the summer so will likely get to show some more of this area. I'm still exploring options with this tarp and bug net set up I'll try and focus on it a bit more when I settle on something. Cheers

chill trip!! I have the same cook system, a rubber band around the bottom of the three panel helps keep it together. Thanks for sharing.
