This game is faithful to the tv series even up to the Ultraman costume design which happened 3 times to the entirety of the series. The music, sound effects and voice acting were all taken from the series. I wish i could play this again soon on the Switch instead.

@@user-gr8pu1cu8r In the Godzilla game for PC Engine, which was released in Japan and the U.S., they did a similar thing; Every Godzillla battle that represented a battle from each of the respected movies of the Showa era (1954 to 1984) through to the Heisei era (1989 to 1994); had the Godzilla sprite designed to look just like how each of the Goji suits looked differently in each movie. When the game got a Super Famicom version; that feature was removed and only the Heisei era Godzilla was in the game. Probably due to less cartridge space. Also, that game was supposed to be localized to the West as was the prior NES Godzilla games, a Godzilla Gameboy game and the SNES Super Godzilla game (and the Ultraman Towards the Future SNES game based on the Australian made 1990 TV show), but it was canceled.

51:29 YES an alternate ending where he defeated Zetton. Those always make me happy :) I get why the writer’s made Ultraman lost was to show that even he’s mortal with flaws and can’t always win, but I detest that they didn’t have to go far enough to almost *KILL* him too and force him to leave Earth for good, which made a real bittersweet ending for the original Ultraman series. And after that it really humiliated poor Ultraman too and portrayed him as weaker and shelved in favor of all the other Showa Ultramen back then which was kinda disrespectful. But It fills me with joy now that in games and now in the reboot film, Shin Ultraman, Ultra got the second try and respect he deserves :)

Even PS2 game Aim for the Top! Gunbuster, which was made to look faithful to the series, had what if episodes and additional episodes that were supposed to be in the original but were cut and ironically as we know, Gunbuster anime was made by Hideaki Anno, who uses a lot of Ultraman inspiration for that anime and later Evangelion. Clearly Anno was an og Ultraman, Ultraseven, Return of Ultraman, Ultraman Ace and Ultraman Leo fan, Taro not so much and not sure about 80 but maybe because of school setting.

@@BungNasa04 In 2 years we will have 70th anniversary of Godzilla. In 4 years we will have 60th anniversary of Ultraman, in 3 years we will have 50th anniversary of Super Sentai. Though in 2015 and 2020, Bandai did absolutely nothing to celebrate Super Sentai 40th and 45th anniversary game release wise., and we got absolutely nothing for Ultraman's 55th anniversary in 2021. We did get a Macross 30 game for PS3 to celebrate Macross 30th anniversary in 2012, and we did get a Godzilla game in 2014 for Godzilla's 60th anniversary, but nothing in 2022 for the Macross 40th anniversary. And nothing for Kamen Rider's 50th anniversary game wise, last year and this year and nothing for Godzilla's 65th anniversary in 2019. And lets not even talk about Gamera.. In other words, Bandai sucks now
