Very few factions compared to soulstorm who has orcs, Imperial guard, Tau, dark Eldar, chaos marines, Battle sisters, and more. Fans also didn't like that Dawn of war 3 is starcraft-like and they think dawn of war 3 is trying to compete with sc2. Kinda sad since I like dow3, and would love more factions, which is now kinda impossible since Relic abandoned it
