The real Oslo Derby is Vålerenga vs Lyn. But Lyn has had years with economic troubles so they are in the lower divisjons.

Yes, but it was never like the rivalry between Vålerenga and Lillestrøm. This is the biggest rivalry you have in Norway, and nothing really beats that atmosphere when these teams meet.

Altough you visited the Stockholm derby between AIK and Hammarby. You should visit the other two Stockholm derbies between Hammarby - Djurgården and Djurgården - AIK. As the best derbies in in the whole nordic region is in Stockholm. /From a Hammarby fan

My mate was sat next to me at the match yeah! He actually came along to the match in my Wrexham video too, but prefers to stay off camera 😄 Music-wise, I got the title music and prematch music from Premiumbeat - everything else is just from the KZbin audio library! I think if you go into the video description, KZbin automatically shows the artist name and song title when they’re played 👍

Gotta come to Åråsen for the next derby, one of Norways oldest and most historic stadiums in the top flight of Norway with a proper name and real proper grass, not like the artificial grass which is at Intility. The derby name is also usually referred to as the "East-Country Derby", not the Oslo Derby as Lillestrøm is, quite proudly, it's own city outside of Oslo. Anyways, great video. Very interesting! Please come back for the match at Åråsen. It's slightly smaller, but you're closer to the pitch and there's usually a crazy atmosphere. And it's played on proper grass, not cheap plastic grass like the match you saw.

I would love to do Tromsø vs Bodø/Glimt - I actually looked into it even before you posted this message! The 2023 game is midweek though 😔 I think it might be a public holiday in Norway but not in UK sadly, so it’s difficult for me to travel. I definitely want to visit in the future though.

As Norways national day is 17th May, there is always a full round of fixtures on the 16th with huge crowds and coverage. Many local derbies are therefore played on the 16th like also Aalesund-Molde

Both Norwegian and Wizzair often have direct flights from London to Tromsø. If they are available on suitable dates and you book in advance, you can travel to Tromsø from UK quite reasonable

You should visit Lerkendal stadium in Trondheim. It is a great stadium with big atmosphere. The m ost exiting game in the year is Rosenborg vs Bodø-Glimt.

@@FootballWeekender Yes, but then it should be like Rosenborg - Lillestrøm or something like this. Next weekend, on saturday the 22. april there will be a big match between SK Brann and Vålerenga. That one is recomended if you want to vitness some good atmosphere. Brann fans have ultras, but the whole supporter culture is more inspired by english culture.

Yeah I think Pyro is banned in a lot of countries but Ultras still do it anyway and just wear masks etc. There isn’t really a culture of ultras in England, there are sort of “hard-core” fans but it’s different and hard to explain. Anyone who lets off a flare at games in England could get a lifetime ban so people generally just don’t risk it. You see pyro and smoke bombs from time to time, but it’s rare. Liverpool fans in the FA Cup semi-final last season let off loads of smoke bombs and it looked amazing 🤩
