If you've got tons of money to blow on target archery I can see a $350 release not being a big deal. I don't think I would ever bring that with me in the woods though. I'm also not sure this release innovates enough to be worth that price tag. It's probably a great release and probably will make the Ultraview guys a killing. I don't get the hype though.

@@MrcDaWg114 well said I was thinking about getting one but my wise choice is doing such a wonderful job I just don't see the need to upgrade + lose draw lenght like the video mentioned.

It's my go-to release. I love the feel and the confidence it gives me. The release is one part I don't mind spending on. It's the most important accessory. They say it comes out of the box "hot" but i felt it was set perfectly, stock. The Stan access I had before's coldest setting was hotter than this came. I could barely trust that release to draw with. As a newer archer, the UV button gave me my confidence back at 70#. I'm ready to try 75#

I bought the UV Hinge 2 and ended up lengthening the D-Loop on my Solution SS by 3/8". That slight change kept my form perfect from when I was shooting the T.R.U. Ball Max Pro+ thumb release, which had a head about 3/8" longer. I'm finally getting comfortable with back-tension after having played with the T.R.U. Ball GOAT and the Hinge 2 a week later. The GOAT has a shorter head, but no adjustability for the click as I would like to "cool" it down a bit like I can on the Hinge 2. I'm using the GOAT on my Infinite Edge Pro (that is shooting lights out after making new strings for it and tuning it). I ended up having to lengthen the drawlength by a half inch AND extending the D-Loop a quarter inch on this bow. The IE Pro is my "I can outshoot your $2000 bow with a $400 kid's bow" bow against people at my club who likes to talk smack and think they're better than everyone else because they shoot a flagship bow. And I was doing it while punching the trigger with a thumb release! Haha. These hinge releases are going to help me step up my game to another level. Next release I get will be the Button for hunting, after I get proficient with the hinge. Thanks for all the great content, Josh!

My anchor point changed signicantly and it's the only reason I want to get rid of it. I tried to shorten my d loop as much as I could but my knuckles are still behind my ear. What a bad design flaw I really liked the way it felt in my hand

Dropped the large coin on one of these back in September and I really like it but to be honest my Wise Choice fits my hand better and I think it actually triggers better than the UV button. Might actually be looking to sell it, and just stick with the Wise Choice.

Josh, Where to you get your target back stops at? I personally use a Spott Hogg Whipper Snapper. Short nose. I removed the gnarled knob and tuck the arm that the knob was attached to into the webbing between my thumb and forefinger and just squeeze. Works good for me.

Once I moved from a wrist strap to a thumb button I could never go back. It was hard making that jump at first, went with the Stan Shootoff and now shoot their Perfex and always wanted to try a hinge so I now also have the Onnex. Going down the archery rabbit hole is expensive.

I agree with the neck length being to long. I have a short draw so I don’t want to give up any draw length. I shot a Carter too simple for the extra short neck length and tried a friends ultra view thumb. Felt like I’d have to shorten my draw by atleast .75”.
@kellenpucher28492 жыл бұрын
This was my first thought as well - glad MFJJ discussed it. When I compared the neck length to my release (Nock 2 It), I have to believe that I would be giving up at least 1/2" of draw length. I recently moved my draw length from 29.5" to 30", and I picked up a full 7 fps! That is a big speed difference to go with this release!

MFJJ: I started with a finger release in 2006 when I started shooting bows. I am considering going to a button release. Any suggestions on what I should look at? I just ordered a new Mathews Lift and thought this is a good time to make a decision and practice before the new bow arrives. There seem to be so many options I am looking for suggestions on which ones to try first.

I'm not sure the new Ultraview thumb button release is the answer. I cant give up on my Carter Chocolate Addiction quite yet. $350.00 is a lot of money for a release with a great thumb nob. I haven't seen anything really revolutionary form Ultraview to constitute the steep pricing of their goods. But, they have a hell of a marketing team.
