This is much more than music. I cannot picture a human creating something as intense as this song. Ulver has outpaced man.

Absolutely gorgeous and haunting. Ulver, in recent times, have produced some of the most emotionally evocative musical pieces I have ever heard and it is a sign that the true spirit of music flows through the veins of these individuals. And while it is primarily unnoticed by the multitudes it makes it all the more precious.

“Men have called me mad; but the question is not yet settled, whether madness is or is not the loftiest intelligence- whether much that is glorious- whether all that is profound- does not spring from disease of thought- from moods of mind exalted at the expense of the general intellect.” ― Edgar Allan Poe, Complete Tales and Poems

The part at End if from a poem to the god shiva called “shiva manas pooja” who’s known as the creator protecter and the destroyer of the universe embodied as shiva. Shiva is The emptiness which all things arise from and goes back in to. Poem Goes as ….. O Ocean of mercy, O master of bound creatures, I have imagined a throne of precious stones for you, cool water for you to bathe in, divine robes adorned with many jewels, sandalwood paste mixed with musk to anoint your body, jasmine and Champaka flowers and bilva leaves, rare insense, and a shining flame. Accept all these which i have imagined in my heart for you, O God. || 1 ||

Even in the hour of tears, with that eternal knot in my throat, even when my fists clench and the world seems full of absurdity and meaninglessness, even in that moment of liquid despair, I close my eyes and remember. I remember that I live in the world where you existed, that your heart and mine beat in unison more than once, that I breathed your air and you breathed mine, that we were together as creatures under the dome of this sky. And my soul calms down, under the weight of your soul, I feel your immortal embrace through the fine iridescent layers of time. Far away, in the tangled web that our lives were, deep within the intricate fabric of our realities, you and I embrace, unchanging and eternal, sustained by something more primordial than love

@dresXCI I saw your message in the description of this video and it urged me to buy the BluRay from kscope, so I did. I got it in the mail a couple of days ago and now I've watched it. The concert is fantastically mind-blowing. I've never seen such a powerful live performance in my life. Rock Massif especially overwhelmed me. It was really worth the buy. So, thank you for your encouragement to buy this masterpiece :)

That voice singing in the end is taken from some sort of indian meditation music and pitched 4 or 5 half tones deeper and slowed down a bit. It's actually a woman's voice. I recognized that the first time I've heard it.
