When there was that "weekend mode spotlight" on 10v10 mode, I kept telling my teams "hey guys let's all build aura items because they're balanced for 5v5 so they'll be super OP, and there will be heaps of teamfights." And nobody ever listened and I was the only aura bot and I'm pretty sure I'm the only reason we won.😢😡

As much as I love aura teams, I see current iteration for what it is: the dreaded deathball meta, my old nemesis. And while I do hope Volvo will try to balance it out, unfortunately, I already know, that I won't like their solution. Because, even tho most people will disagree with me, but the counter to aura meta should be Breaks and Mutes, however Volvo'd been removing many of those, since nobody likes to be disabled, so they'll try to avoid re-implementing any of those, let alone expand on the idea. Which is a shame, since, personally, I find that proper implementation of disables, making them interactable - turning them into disjointable projectiles, skillshots, gradually stacking purgable effects and so on - can bring back more of that feeling of "game of chess". Alas, Volvo'll probably just nerf cornerstones of this meta, like Greaves and Shen, and call it a day. And just to continue raining on this parade: on topic of Universal heroes. The more time I spend with them, the more I'm leaning to opinion, that Universals were a stupid lazy solution to a problem, that was festering for a long-long time. If Volvo did want to approach this problem, they should have bitten the bullet and introduced dual -type pokemons- attribute heroes before making full triple attributes. A lot of heroes had a third attribute forced on them while they only needed a second one , which is why Universal gets such a weird mix of Snapfire, Abbadon, Venomancer and whatnot. I sincerely hope they revert this change, but, I'm afraid, they already operate by sunk cost fallacy.
