Dear sister, One popular prayer that Brahmins chant is, Vishnu Sahasranama. Which starts saying, He (god) himself transformed to this entire universe. Hence everything in this universe is he himself. That’s why , hindu’s worship everything. They realise that they are not just creation, but the part of that same energy. Multiple deities represent his qualities. Ex. Saraswati represent knowledge, Durga for power, Ganesha for brilliant, excellence and so on. There is a purpose for worship of qualities. Which I am not taking here. It’s not compulsory to do rituals. As per Holy book Gita, a human can opt 3 type of worship according to his interest- karma Yogam(worship through action), njanayogam( worship through knowledge), Bhakti yogam( worship through devotion). As Brahmin, I wish you should have had this basics. Anyways all the best. Be happy.
