I think she's actually getting better with age. I hope she leaves herself alone and doesn't go under the knife like every other Hollywood freak. I was surprised to see how "normal" she seems after watching this. I think the media has portrayed her as being a little "out there" for years.
@misswhiskeykittie9 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't necessarily call it bad makeup, just a little different.She basically did her brows different and skipped the eyeliner and mascara which can look really different on blond or lighter complexions. The lipstick looked a little harsh against her skin, but she still looked incredible. Giver her a break.

Gee, from this interview you might almost be led to believe that The Slap was an American production written by an American playwright. When, in fact, it was a novel written by an Greek-Australian, adapted in Australia and produced in Australia - and then copied in the US.

Did she just say the show was written by (1:12) American John Robin Baitz? Incorrect! It's an Australian script written by a writing team including Emily Ballou, Alice Bell, Brendan Cowell, Kris Mrksa and Cate Shortland. The original Australian show went to air in 2011. Just thought I'd set the record straight. :-)

She just had minimal eye make-up in her skin tone. It's like a bare-eye make-up look. If you look closely, that's the difference. There is no smokey eye, no darker eyeshadow, no eyeliner and not even darf mascara or fake lashes. They tried a new look for once. I can even imagine it was a conscious decision for her to present more serious. Dark eyeshadow, eyeliner, lashes, are used to make the eyes look bigger, sexier, flirtier. But I suppose she didn'twant to go for that vibe, when repesenting a show that's built around the topic of hitting childen. So I applaud her, her make-up artist that day and her team for trying something and leaving a well treaded path. Big, sultry, flirty eyes with lots of darkness around the eyes and big, dark lashes has become sort of a uniform for actresses and women in media. So, it's good to swim against the sstream from time to time. I get it.

Unfortunatly I've seen it happen I don't know if the parents of my relative knew or what the situation was but I was 9 and at a friends house ,the neighbors, and my friends stepfather actually reached back and hit my relative in the chest and nobody said anything about it afterwards. My relative went running off crying but for me I was shocked at 9 years old to see that and I understood the gravity of someone in this case a neighbor hitting someone else's child.

Makeup can do wonders literally! So it can easily change a woman's face just makeup. Contouring can make the nose more thin etc. And there's actually a man in the Philippines that I saw in a magazine he does makeup extremely well he has put makeup on and has changed his face to look like dozens of celebrities from Taylor swift to Michelle Obama. Thats what makeup can do and then you throw in lighting and angles of the photo it can make someone look unrecognizable. Just look at celebrities with makeup on and then without. It can be shocking how different they look. Certain celebrities that are thought to be so beautiful are heavily made up but without the makeup you see their true face and wow its not at all someone that looks attractive or even as the same person! some celebrities are still very beautiful makeup free and look the same. My point is makeup can change anyone's face and in pictures everyone doesn't look the same all the time. Some photos are flattering others aren't. It doesn't necessarily mean that because a photo shows a star looking a bit different she or he has gone under the knife or had botox or etc

I love Uma and say this with no shade intended but am I detecting some slight issues with her speech at times in this interview? Like she is struggling to form certain words correctly? I don't know.. Something seem up with her. Not that it would be nice for her to have to respond to the public reaction to her make up but she seems preoccupied and not as vibrant and quick witted as usual. Still the woman is a legend end of.

It's not that people do not like her makeup. They probably just do not recognize her without her eye makeup on. Clearly she is aging as any 40+ woman does . She definitely has on more eye makeup in this video than her pics. Most women are unrecognizable without makeup any way. Very few are actually "naturally" beautiful. It's even harder when she is in her 40's.
