I was placed in a special education class in middle school and high school and was told by teachers that I would not be able to get a college education because my reading speed was lower than what it needed to be. I was also told that I was to slow to understand things in a "regular class." Fast forward a couple of years later I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration, and two years later I got my Master's in Business Administration. To all the teachers and students that doubted me and believed that I could not do it God bless you! Do not allow what people say about you become your reality. Obama understood racism because he's part of the party that promotes it. Check out Margaret sander, the racist white women who started Planned Parenthood. Also check out why 90% of blacks voted Republican before the New Deal was taken on. Also you should know, this continued from the Civil War because the Democrats were the racists. Their mission still carries on

That's an obvious contradiction. Since life started in Africa and spread out, how come we were so technologically being western civilisations. That doesn't seem inherent smarter. I'm a Nigerian, and I cried when I heard Dr Umar mention Nigeria and other African countries not standing out against the injustice done to black people all over the world. This is the same question I ask myself. Our African leaders are so concern about themselves that they don't care about even those that elected them to power. It is sad because all they do is travel abroad and spend the money they stole from the continent on those who work day and night to sabotage their kind else where. Organisation is our key problem, and everyone want to stand for themselves. Disunity will only serve one purpose. This is the reason I think the western world is making the black continent more disorganised and they are using our leaders to do this. The African leaders steal and defraud their economies and take the money abroad. Who does that benefit?
@BK-kk1py7 жыл бұрын
matthew ikhanea Ghanaian here, we all know that (most) of our African leaders only care about money and not about the people. Other side is that they need to fix the problems in our African countries as well, so I will never expect them to speak out for other black people elsewhere in the wolrd. They dont event stand up for their own people in the country.
@kyenshakdabeng78177 жыл бұрын
matthew ikhanea Nigerian as well. What he said is so true. Black people in America can't turn to African countries for support. This needs to change. What he also said about churches also applies to Nigeria. Fundamentalist religion exacerbates the problem.

Teach! This is one of the best interviews I've heard in a long time by a group of clear headed Unapologetically Africanist brothers. I am perplexed why are so many Black People Anti-Dr.Umar Johnson??? Some of the most astute pan African, Black Nationalist, Black so-called conscious, Black Celebrating Blacks people, hate this man Dr. Umar Johnson. I say ok it's not a problem to Hate the Man - rethink- But Not hate the Message! His Messages should be our key focus and we should pay attention to the narrative he's presentating! The brother dialogue and his narratives of systematic racism in America makes total sense, Common Sense!!! We are in War in America. We need to analyze his thesis in terms of how can we as Black People in a racist America---how can a Black Nation find viable solutions to help us achieve the same benefits that every human being has a right to life-liberty-freedoms and the pursuit of happiness! We are Human Beings not just Civil-Trivia beings! We must take Dr. Umar Johnson antithesis of: America being one of the riches nation's on Earth has disportionationately left our people in bondage and still no freedom -black people are in a war the historical distribution of systematic and institutionalized racism, discrimination, police genocide, that takes place in America, like heinious crimes (racial motivated hate crime, continuous redlining; unfair and unequal social educational programs geared towards prison to pipeline dynamics; non-redistribution of wealth; healthcare disparities; self-genocidal, self-hatred and self-perpetual hatred; Africans American Slave descendants, the Unapologetically African more than ever need to take heed! Seriously, seriously we need help! Examples of Antithesis “That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” - Neil Armstrong "We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools." - Martin Luther King, Jr. “Unlike short-sighted, egocentric humans, God "sees with equal eye" the fall of a hero and a sparrow, the destruction of an atom or a solar system.” - Alexander Pope. "The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here." - Abraham Lincoln - The Gettysburg Address "I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dryrot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time." - Jack London "Love is an ideal thing, marriage a real thing." - Goethe “Patience is bitter, but it has a sweet fruit.” - Aristotle “Integrity without knowledge is weak and useless, and knowledge without integrity is dangerous and dreadful.” - Samuel Johnson “Folks who have no vices have very few virtues.” - Abraham Lincoln "All the joy the world contains Has come through wishing happiness for others. All the misery the world contains Has come through wanting pleasure for oneself." - Shantideva Dr. Umar Johnson has given us a viable antithesis formula to address as a people to turn our situation around! If we don't listen good and take heed we all (World societies, International & Global Communities, African Unions, United Nations, basically the World) will face the consequences of the downfalls.

First time I've come across a great mind since the greats " Marcus Garvey, Kwame Ture, Malcolm, Kwame Nkrumah , Captain Sankara and WEB Dubois. I've always known Clinton and Obama were nothing but politicians and never done anything of substance to uplift black people but give them hope just like the preachers. Worst still Clinton put more black people in Jail than any other president. Obama didn't do nothing for black people...my opinion of him diminished even more when he gave the order for the great Pan African " Colonel Qaddafi" to be murdered. With the ensuing chaos that has afflicted West Africa. I've always known it was a pretext to bring European and American Imperialism back to West Africa i.e African pivot against the Chinese. Thanks for confirming this Dr Umar Johnson.

The honourable Marcus Garvey didn't have a college degree and yet he managed to wake us up and he led us to realise that we could break from the chains of bondage that kept our forefathers in captivity. Malcom X didn't have a college degree yet he led us to fan the flames of our anger and pain and we made our oppressors feel ashamed of what they did in God's name. As far as I'm concerned Dr Umar Johnson doesn't need any academic credentials to continue doing the type of work that he's doing. He's a brilliant mind and a great leader. So as a BreakfastClub listener that odds are hates Trump with a passion. When Dr Umar says they demonize the image of a group so when they violence begins no one stands up to defend that group.... the people who want population control might have wanted to sacrifice blacks by demonizing them but they clearly changed trajectory at some point and realized it wasn’t working. Now the target is white straight Christian males who support Trump. Do you see what I’m saying? If we about unity and love why are we demonizing anybody? If we think it’s wrong to demonize blacks why is it okay if we just flip the filter 180 and shift the demonization onto another race. I’ve always supported blacks and their strife. I’ve actually wanted blacks to live peacefully in America and successfully as long as they don’t do crime. So it really hurts when the paradigm shifts to hating white men and the blacks as a whole seem on board with just demonizing whites as revenge. The average white citizen has nothing to do with the demonizing of black people. And to put the crimes of governments onto an entire race is no different than what whites did to blacks in history. Blacks now hold the torch and I hope and pray you have the love in your hearts to not deal the same hatred to others and continue the cycle of violence. We as people have to use love and come together against the government or the government will always divide us and make us hate eachother. The only way we can return to Christ is to come together.

@@Chief305 doesn't matter what race your finances come from don't matter if its black or white. Besides I have a college degree and a good paying job working for a international company and the white man didn't hold me back. My point it seems like Dr. Umar is living in the past and he doesn't realize that we are living in the 21st century. However, if you loom at other races such as the Asians , hispanics, Africans and even the Caribbean natibes, they don't have the victimhood mentality that Umar Johnson has. These people work hard by getting educated and working together to build businesses. For example, there is no excuse why black americans can't build businesses in their communities while the chinese or the indians can move into black neighborhoods in US cities and build successful businesses. While I agree with some things Umar says he still doesn't hit on the fact that some black american boys are struggling in academics which we needs fixing.
@Chief3055 жыл бұрын
Emilio Maurice what you’re saying don’t have any relevance to that what I commented. I’m not talking about the equal opportunities across races even though blacks do have it harder! I was talking about how blacks can rise in the economy and how we cannot unite to go against our oppressors because we use their supplies! Food, water, finances, etc....

Aman Lets not split hairs, It's Homophobic. It is stupid to think that if there were no Gay and lesbian black people we would be better off. It's complete scapegoating. We are an important part of the movement too. There are Black Lesbian and Gay People Who have adopted and fostered Black children from violent heterosexual environments and they thrive into a more productive human being than if they were to continue to in that toxic home. We want to be part of the movement too, but we would require your support like you would give any other. It's this type of thinking that is destroying the black agenda as you are creating segregation within our race. We have so much to offer this movement. It takes a village Aman Penner
