James STKO just did a review on this gun and said the barrel has a lot of issues with supporting evidence, so I'm happy that I got my Gen 1 all Haji'd out instead of the Gen 2. My Gauntlet is a laser accurate air rifle, by the way. I love it and it looks badass.

I saw that video and I have to agree my g1 with a hajimoto super tune honestly functions better than the g2

@@jumpkickman1993 My Hajimoto tuned G2 arrives this week. I'll tell ya how it is. Hajimoto made a post about this "idea" that the barrel is a 1:24 and flat out said that's wrong.

Great review Ben! I have a G2 in .22 I love it! Powerful, accurate, and as you said sexy! Mine wasn't without its quirks though. I got my first one and it was a leader. I sent it back. Its replacement holds air fine. Virtually every screw and the bolt handle were loose on the gun. No big deal. Before I aired it up I remove the action from the stock to adjust the trigger. Very simple to do. I took about a mile of pre travel out and lightened up the pull. It is much better now! I also tightened up the sloppy bolt handle. It's solid now! The left side of the slot in the breech where the magazines go had razor sharp edges that I knocked off with a file. It's all good to go now! I like this gun so much that I want to get the .30 cal Gauntlet 2 when they come out!

Wow the 50 yard at 8:30, man that's tack driving and the 100 is impressive as well. Love to have one but the compressor and all the accessories, guess I'll shoot 22's for a while longer. Nice review

Pretty impressive. I wonder how much tuning and trigger work will come out for this gun to make it even better. But for 400 dollars this is a good deal. I am torn between this and others. Thank you for the awesome review. Impressive 100 yard shots! Definitely up there with higher end PCP guns

I have the G3 IN 30 CAL and I added a 2 stage trigger, and 2 barrel bands to stabilize the barrel. I put a sumo moderator on it and now it will shoot MOA at 150 yards consistently you also need to adjust the hammer spring with a coronagraph for consistent power At 50 yards it puts shots in the same hole at 100 it’s a very small group sub MOA

Good review. I look forward to your vids man. My G1 Gauntlet (a little modified) is the most reliable rifle in my collection. Other than a janky original regulator (of which I have replaced with a Ninja) this rifle has been free of issues. I just fill it up and it shoots. I have rifles that cost 2 and 3 TIMES as much and that I have NOT used as much, that are literally sitting around waiting for repair parts.

The G3i is a great break barrel. And if you already have that I’d say to get a pcp next. The Gauntlet 2 is pretty awesome (I just did a video with it). If you want to be able to shoot long range the 25 gauntlet might be the best choice on a budget.
