Umarex Notos Testing Slugs At 30 Yards

That Timmy scared me, I wasn't expecting that and I had the volume turned up. Same I have been blown away with the accuracy out of the Notos. This PCP has been my go to when I want to do something pesting. The best thing I did was put mine on the bottle and now I can get just over a hundred shots before I hit my regulator settings. Great video can't wait to see your results at 50. 👍

Man that many shots is insane! I have seriously thought about doing that. And I agree, pesting wise this thing is on point! Its super light, maneuverable, and plenty accurate inside 40 yards to dispatch any critter. Honestly it shoots beer cans out to 94 all day as well. Its a great plinker for sure. I wouldnt be surprised if I have 5000 rounds through it already. Hahaha thats conservative too cause I bought 10,000 and im down to my last tin of 18.13’s. Some of that shooting was with the Marauder and Armada. But the Bulk of it has been the Notos. Its just too much fun! Have a great week Angel.

Great results brother Johnny! Like Angel i turned mine into a bottle gun for about a hundred shots per fill. It never gets old shooting bullseye's over and over as long as you do your part. Only bad thing is you quickly run out of pellets! Lol😂

I picked up some JSB Diablo .217 slugs for my two NOTOS guns. I can wait to test them over the chronograph. Nice stuff Johnny as we are on the same page.🤠🇺🇸☕️

I got some of those FX Hybrids and they come absolutely covered in lead shavings!!! I put'm through a wash with DI water but couldn't totally clear the hollows, but then when shooting them I saw abysmal accuracy at 25 and 45 yards compared to other slugs and pellets. Maybe I need to check the crown on my barrel, but the FX atomics (similar to JSB hades) seem plenty accurate albeit moving substantially faster. All that to type I wouldn't necessarily blame yourself for the flyer hybrid slug.

I wrote it off to a fluke, but with your information, it might be wise for others to inspect their ammo prior to use. Good lookin out, and have a fantastic week!

Thanks Jason. I was very pleased myself and right away told the wife, “Babe I gotta make a video cause none of my guns shoot slugs…” Now that being said, Im not sure they will shoot good out to 50. I tried a preliminary group before the rain started and it wasnt bad, but it wasnt good either. There absolutely is a threshold at which the slugs destabilize, and I think on the lowest power, the Notos Is very very close to that threshold. Im going to increase the hammer spring to get the slugs up over 700 if i can, so that out to 50 and even maybe 94, their speed is still close to the 615-590 respectively (or above) when they were still stable out to 30. If that makes any sense…. Hahaha. I also want to use the ATN scope on the notos for those shots so I can record the flight path, hopefully. It will be easier to see if it is my error as well. I thought so too. I filmed the 50 yard groups today and I dont want to spoil it for you, but it should be edited and uploaded this evening, or tomorrow. I probably wont be shooting slugs out of the Notos, but I certainly can. Hahaha have a good one homie!

@@ThePadutch hahaha you are not blind. A subscriber made a 3d printed "no mod moderator" that slips over the end of the barrel/suppressor on the Notos and sent it to me to try out. It is secured with a couple allen screws. It absolutely makes the Notos a bit quieter, but most importantly It does not affect the accuracy of the gun. Since it was a gift, I rep it hard. :) great question, and great news. You are not blind. :) have a great rest of the week!

Umarex puts out some interesting stuff, at affordable prices. I’m just hesitant to buy any of their stuff because of all the complaints I have heard about their quality control. You have about a fifty fifty chance of buying a problem.
