Umarex Ruger 10/22 semi-automatic .177 Air Rifle

The Ruger 10/22 air rifle is made under license by Umarex and is pretty much identical to the original 10/22. I found it a little frustrating in the time it takes to load a magazine and having to change the Co2 canisters but accuracy was fine and it may just suit you.

Got one when they came out, has been a bit of fun on the farm. I leave an empty co2 in and just chuck a full one in and run 30 shots through it, I zeroed my red dot at 10-15 shots, I hold under for 1st 10, at zero for 2nd 10 and hold over for last 10... Then I put it away for another month

Thanks Ozzie, always appreciate ur reviews, I’d love one of these style semi auto air rifles but they all seem to be like this, fairly cheap and although cheap, I imagine buying co2 canisters for them over time would get pricey also. Maybe one day I’ll get one

Only reason I'd get one of these is just for the novelty of owning a semi auto on a Cat A license. But I always preferred a springer or nowadays gas piston, to a co2 canister.

You need a license to own an air rifle in Australia? Here in Canada you only need a license for high powered air rifles over a certain amount of feet per second or joules of muzzle energy, because surprisingly they make air rifles that can be as powerful as a real firearm.

@@frankyg2384 Yep, in Australia a Firearms licence is required for an air rifle which falls under a category 'A' firearms. Category 'B' licence you can acquire centerfire bolt, straight pull shotguns and rifles. Category 'C' and 'D' are for semi autos and pump shot guns. They make you jump through hoops to acquire and really not worth the trouble unless you are a farmer. Or your you run a business where firearm is your main source of income.

I chuckled to myself, as I noticed that you did bother showing us how to load the CO2, and I don't blame you either,..it takes two ( as you said ) and there's a bit of 'fooling around' to load those. I bought one too, on a whim,...I thought it would be fun to plink around the back yard,..but truthfully,...I didn't even bother to use up the two CO2 cylinders,..I just emptied them out after a few magazine 's full of pellets and put the rifle back in it's box and put it away. There are a lot better CO2 rifles out there that shoot a lot more accurately and easier to load up, so I went with those. Thanks for showing us this one though.

I think the most frustrating thing about this is that Australians are not allowed to have a real 10/22. That’s frustrating. I remember back in the 1980s when Australia banned firearms and showing the dumpsters full of all kinds of rifles and shotguns on the news. It gutted me then and to think of it today is still an awful horror. And that same threat is still alive today here in the United States. That should scare the hell out of any red blooded American gun owner.

@@TexasSheepdawg21 our laws were changed in 1996 when there was a pretty bad mass shooting in Tasmania, it’s not that we “can’t” have them, it’s that they’re catagorised differently than bolt actions and shoguns, we basically have to show a need for the action of firearm we want, semi auto rifles are in most states here a cat c license, to have that we pretty much need to work in an industry that requires the use of a semi auto ie: farm pest control

This was my 2nd choice ~ so i went ahead and got the 1077 to me looks just like the 10/22 > I like the paint ball set up better on the 1077, give it more power, and more constant shots. for like 250 rounds or more it was banging at 560 fps, now bagging at 1021 fps ~ So get rid of the weak co2 12 g cartridge! THEY SUCK !
