5月10日の公式リリースが待ち遠しい、振り付けも含めて素晴らしい曲です！この曲は海外のファンの多くからは『人々を地獄に送るダークサイドエレベーターガールの歌』と、三途の川の渡し守かよ、というようなややネガティブな方向の捉え方をされているようです。私は個人的には、人生の困難な道に敢えて進む勇敢な女性たちへの応援歌と捉えています。...祝福されない恋とか、支持されない転職とか...。『本当にこのエレベーターに乗るのですか？ドアを叩いてももう開きませんよ。針地獄のフロアで這いずり回って苦しむかもしれませんよ。それでも命がけで行くのならば頑張って！』と。さらに白日夢に浸って、この曲はSuとMoaがYuiのことを心配して歌っているようにも聞こえました。2018年5月15日のAtlantaのライブのこの曲の出だしでSu-METALが "Hey lady, are you going down" を "Hey Yui, are you going down" と歌詞を変えて歌ったのでは？という海外ファンの指摘があって論争となりました。私にもそのように聞こえ、同じタイミングのMoaの顔面クローズアップ動画を探してスロー再生してみると、Moaの口唇も『ゆい』と歌っているように見えました(一回限りの共謀？)。ああ、すぅちゃんももあちゃんも心配するほどゆいちゃんの現況は深刻なのか....と勝手に悲観的に落ち込んでいました。その後の経緯はご存知の通りです。ゆいちゃんのことを思わずにこの曲を聴くことはできません。新しいアルバムは鎮魂歌や惜別の歌が散りばめられた、ちょっと重い/エモい雰囲気になるのでしょうか…。

そうですね！3人の心は今でも固く結ばれていると私も信じています。あと、新アルバムに必ず入るであろう "Starlight" は天体観望中に観測台から転落して亡くなった小神こと藤岡幹大さんへの追悼歌ですよね、誰がどう聴いても⁉....なんたってコーラスが "Fly higher in the sky！(The God Stargazer)" 『飛翔べ高く天空を！ (神なる天文愛好家よ)』ですからね。星を観るのが好きだと言っていた由結ちゃんの姿も重なります。

I flew out from Hawai'i (no one plays here) to see a different band in Portland during September '19. It felt extravagant at the time, but now? DAMN I'm glad I did... I had a great time. An exquisite piece, can’t wait the official release on this coming May 10th! The Elevator Girl is not a simple weired dark side song about a girl sending people to hell. Rather, along with its impressive choreography, it is a beautiful encouraging song for every brave lady who dares to ride the destinating elevator to choose the hard way in life, ...unblessed love?, or unsupported changing of career?… . “You really wanna ride this elevator? Once you got on, whatever you say or you do, you may go up to heaven or more likely go down to the needle-floored hell where you have to crawl around!” “You’ve made up your mind? Okay brave lady, good luck, no turning back now, the door will never be opened by your knocking… .” There was some debate as to whether Su-Metal had sung Yui instead of Lady in the beginning part of this song in the 2018 Atlanta live : I certainly heard “Yui” for which I guessed as the reflection of Su’s (and also Moa’s) concern for Yui.

Babymetal has always been jpop vocals over heavy metal period, they experiment alot but anyone saying I miss how they used to be this song is too poppy and dumb.... Wtf are you talking about??!?!?!? Awadama fever?? Gimme chocolate??? What are those serious songs and somehow this song is bad??? Shut the hell up with that nonsense, babymetal is freaking awesome. These moronic metal purists get on my freaking nerves. Quit criticizing and just enjoy music, the main reason I like this band is it can get complex with the metal but at the end of the day it needs those catchy pop choruses, your either into it or you're not. I'm into it, great song, my favorite from album 3 so far.

It's kinda sad that Babymetal seem to stray from the way I liked them. Heavy, a bit djenty even, but at the same time melodic, with some kind of feeling touch to it. Now they feel more like just upbeat metalized J-Pop. Songs like this and Distortion make *Starlight* look good, even though it in turn pales in comparison to Megitsune, Yava! and Meta Taro. I'm not even mentioning stuff like Road Of Resistance or Syncopation, that'd be total destruction.

Yui mizuno left for undisclosed health reasons (loads of rumors about what those issues were but no proof of any of them being true) so it left just su and moa in the group and the other 2 girls I believe are just interchangeable back up dancers unless I'm mistaken

ああそうだ。実は、少し思い出したんだけど、勿論、私は、BABY METALの、本物の方の、vocalのsu- metalが、タレ目の美人だって事くらいは、知ってたさ。ツリ目顔は、目ぱっちんで、ライブ用のメイクは、出来るからね。昔は、ガングロっぽく、顔を日焼けさせる、アムラー・ファッションとかが、日本で、流行したんだけど、あんまり、流行しなかったのは、その逆の、病気メイクだったね。アムラーは、健康的なファッションだったよね。あのツリ目の本物のvocalのsu- metalのステージ・メイクは、悪魔顔メイクになるのかな？実際の顔は、随分と印象が変わるけど素顔が可愛いのでござるよ。貴重なタレ目美人なのだ。 BABY METAL結成前のグループ・アイドルの頃からのファンなら、先ず間違えないんだけど、みんなは、本物のvocalのsu- metalが、タレ目美人だって知ってたかな？嘘のつけない私は、suがタレ目だって事自体は、知っていたけど、現実問題として、レコーディング・ルームとかに、悪魔メイク以外の、可愛い系メイクの、目ぱっちん使用状態のツリ目顔で何気無く居たら、多分、su- metal本人だってのは、すぐには分からないとは思う。要するに、これは何も、本物のvocalのsu- metalだけじゃない事だと強調したい事実だが、一般的に言っても、誰でも、眼の形状を変えられる変装道具「目ぱっちん」を使われて、変装メイクまでされて、完璧なまでに別顔に化けられたら判別は困難だ。でもね。su- metalの素顔が、タレ目美人だってのは私には分かってる。だから…。心配しないでも良い…。10代の頃のBABY METALのステージ用の悪魔メイクの顔とは、全然違う顔なんだよねー。su- metalの素顔の事だよ。勿論、俺は、その事実を知ってたよ。本当だよ。

Not too subtle Su. みんなのコメントを読ませて貰いました。ダンスパフォーマンスに関しての、他のファンの方からの意見は色々あって、ダンスは、YUIちゃんがいた頃も良かったけど、アレは3人編成だからあんな感じだったんです。でも、今回からは、日本固有の現代舞踊的様式の、ユニークな水流ダンスを取り入れた感じがします。それから、su- metalと 激しいセックスがしたいと書き込んだファンの方もいる様です。この感想に関してですが、ある意味、ワールド・マーケットでの要望を念頭に置く限りは、我々なりの、フロイト学的なリスナーファンへの考察になるのかも知れませんが、これは、恐らくですが、イメージ的に、性本能的な、激しい激情が、su- metalを考えた時に、リスナーファンに湧き上がるなら、社会抑制的な枷を外したい類の潜在的で更に音楽的な、言わば、本能的要求として、スローテンポより、スラッシュ・ビートの速めのテンポのハードな曲が聴きたい、ニュアンスだと思いました。ただ気になったのは、 ダンスパフォーマンスへの期待からなら、どの様なテンポ・リズムが妥当になるかです。でも、好き勝手な事を書いて許されるキャラのファンていいよなー。俺も「su愛してる」とか、脱退前なら「YUI、お前しかいない」とか「moa、激しいセックス好き？」とか、暇と金があるなら、一度で良いからライブで叫んでみたい。
