What's cool about Snow is that while Dark Wizzy is a more defensive player and Kurama is a more offensive player. Snow is pretty much a hybrid of both playstyles. I knew he'd go far if he got more experience. And sure enough, I was right!

@@kaizen_ksm Acola does have fundies and is solid as a player due to his mastery of other separate characters. He beat Spargo and Miya with his Aegis and clutched a win against MkLeo yesterday in a MU he is bad at. His fundies are definitely impressive. I definitely don't want to sound like I'm saying that maining Steve takes away fundies, it doesnt. But what I am saying is that Snow, at least in my opinion, is the better player, he plays a more mentally taxing character who needs to put in at least 2x more effort than Steve in a lot of things, winning neutral, racking up damage, closing out stocks etc... On top of that, Snow prevailed over Acola in what is known as one of Marios worst MUs. And Acola has MU experience from playing Kurama and Dark Wizzy a couple of times, who are also amazing Marios. Snow being the better player over is simply my opinion and emotion. I said the same thing when he prevailed over Sonix at Supernova. But I do acknowledge Acola is objectively the better player.

Acola is faltering pretty poorly when compare to Sparg0, who won two back to back P tier supermajors with no sets dropped whereas acola got 7th at Supernova, has multiple losses like these and has yet to even win a major. He better start showing up to majors and prove us wrong else that number 1 spots not happening for him this season.

@@ebrahimfawad940 True. Spargo winning 2 back to back P tiers reminds me of Acola's record in late 2023, where he achieved his status as #1 in the world for the first time. Acola also did phenomenal the first half of 2024, winning 2 back to back Japanese P tiers. This is why he remained #1. Spargo underperformed when he came to the Japanese tournaments, it made him drop down to 9th. However, this last half of 2024 is definitely starting to look more grim for Acola and brighter for Spargo. Miya is also not doing the best this last half, despite him winning an A tier in Umebura over Acola the other day. I think Spargo securing another P tier victory before 2024 ends can seal the deal for Spargo to reclaim #2, or even #1. Maybe if he wins the next WTT or Delfino Maza, which he definitely could!

Miya also won Kowloon 12 with Kagaribi which is also a P tier but youre right because of his underperformances I don’t think he’ll be in contention for number 1. Same with Hurt and Sonix. In my honest opinion it really is a two way battle between acola and Sparg0 with the latter being the frontrunner.

Before someone loses they’re s*** on you in the comments, let a steve main explain how you are correct: Steve has really bad disadvantage state, however what most of the “ban Steve” community doesn’t realize is that his disadvantage is different than other characters. Where other characters enter disadvantage when they lose stage control, Steve enters disadvantage when he is low on resources (particularly iron) at which point he becomes almost inert as a combatant.

I don't think Steve's disadvantage state is "bad" but it's definitely more restrictive since you have to be perfect with what resources you have to get out of a situation, and it gets tricky if you're low. You also have to be smart otherwise you run out and are stuck. So yeah I see what you mean.

Listen bro ima be honest, I hate Steve so so so so so so so so so much. He is the most annoying character to play against. But if I mained Steve I would not get this good of ranking, and there are plenty of other Steve’s who haven’t done as good.
