First time I've heard a Michael Daugherty work, and "Lost Vegas" is EXCELLENT. The sweet central melody (from 4:00) is an absolute peach - I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this. Thanks, Michael!

Just finished listening to this band's recording of one of my university band pieces and thought I'd listen to their whole concert. I heard this and had to pause and look something up. Parts of it sounded remarkably like another song we'd performed: "Raise the Roof" for symphonic band and timpani. I looked it up, and sure enough, same composer! So anyone listening who likes this one, check that one out too. It's quite good also.

The trombone feature at the end was solid! The trumpets after that...LOL, someone was tired. :p Overall this was a wonderful performance!
