@@seila3809 it's a line of the answers arc of Umineko, which serves as a justification to how Erika lost against Battler, it's also a major point of the solution of the Rokenjima Tragedy (Notice the differentiation with "people" and "human" in the context of what happened in that episode, and you get the answer for everything)

@@seila3809 Battler, Kumasawa, Eva, Genji, George, Hideyoshi, Jessica, Krauss, Kyrie, Maria, Natsuhi, Rosa, Rudolf, Nanjo and Godah, Those are the 15 that are confirmed alive and "real", Kinzo is dead at the start of every game. Meaning that with Shannon/Kannon and Erika, that makes 17. I think the translation I read put ambiguity with people and human because of the context, but in the original text, only "human" is used. Sorry for the confusion.

There is an anime, but it doesn't hold a candle to the original game, which you can now buy on Steam for $27-something ($25-something on sale). You can also buy it on Mangagamer, but idk how much it is there. If you really don't wanna read a lot, I'd suggest at least reading the manga, which is STILL better than the anime.

It’s a visual novel about a annual family conference (family that’s is wealthy) that’s is held on a island Rokkenjima, for the year the game is set in on October 4. The adults have to talk about the inheritance and who would become the new famille head since Kinzo the current one, is not excepted to have long left. Meanwhile the cousins have fun and the servants are working. Such banter are interrupted when all of them got the letter read by Maria of the Golden Witch Beatrice, who apparently Kinzo passed a contract with in exchange of gold and that’s is how the Ushiromiya are currently so rich. In exchange of the gold, she now going to take back everything that’s belong to the Ushiromiya. Then people are dying one after another in gruesome crimes scenes. Is the witch real? Is she the one killing all the family? What would be the alternative solution if it’s not magic? That is what Umineko is about, surface level speaking. If you have any other questions, I can answer. The guy confronting her will be Battler, the guy on the pic in the video.
