UMK gets better and better every year! When it first started in 2012 and heard most songs I was left disappointed and thought Finland made a mistake changing their selection, but a year later the field of songs were much better and 2013+4 saw worthy winners who did well in ESC and got some success afterwards, Krista + Softengine are still popular in Finland and have a cult international following, 2015 saw a brilliant selection but was sadly hijacked by sympathy votes over a band with disabilities who had an awful song that unsurprisingly came last in Euro semis. 2016 has so many excellent potential entries and I don't dislike a single one, I really like this video. Song is deep, mellow and adult contemporary radio-friendly, Tuuli Okkonen is following me on Twitter!

In a preselection anything can happen , you are as likely to happen as not to happen, you filled the mouth saying it is the worst , for I have as well, remember that last year Finland took a group of punk rock and it was Eurovision to the end , simply because they liked ( the worse your preselection) . Eeeeh, biisi kertoo kielletystä rakastetusta, joka on joko kuollut tai ainakin laulajalle täysin saavuttamattomissa, eli kuvannollisesti kuollut. Kertsissä häntä kaivataan unissa, joiden tarinoita ei tosin spesifioida, mutta arvelisin, että niissä kertoja saattaisi tavata ko. henkilön vaikka juhlissa. Toisin sanoen en ymmärrä hämmennystäsi. Edit: Tää oli sitte ihan hlökohtainen tulkinta. Rohkaisen jokaista tekemään omansa.

+3 si Olen vissiin vajaaälyinen koska en ymmärtänyt videota puhtaalta pöydältä. Hän hyväilee jääpatsasta, näkee pelottavan hahmon toisen naisen kasvoissa viinilasin läpi, siirtyy paikkaan missä pelottava hahmo tanssii hämmentävällä tavalla jääpatsaan ympärillä, päätyy lopulta makaamaan jääpatsaan paikalle yksin. "Don't wake me up" Hmm, joo. Ihan selkeähän tämä juttu on.

+Crispy Näitähän voi jokainen tulkita mielensä mukaan, eikä kysymättä ohjaajalta ja käsikirjoittajalta voi varmasti tietää. Oma versioni/tulkintani tuli heti eka katsomalla mieleen. Kyseessä on nk. "kielletty rakkaus", laulajan ja kenties tervehtimään tulleen naisen välillä? Tämä nainen on ilmeisesti "jatkanut elämäänsä" ja nyt naiset tapaavat juhlissa. Vieraat kääntyvät katsomaan heti "epäilevästi/tuomitsevasti" kun naiset hieman pidempään halailevat tervehtiessään... lasin takaa näkyvät demonit ovat ne "oikeat ihmiset" jotka ovat inhottavia ja pilkallisia ja julmia, vaikka ensin näyttävät mukavilta, kauniilta ja kohteliailta. Koska lasipatsas on nainen ja laulaja suutelee/koskettaa sitä, se esittää mielestäni tätä tervehtimään tullutta naista, (joka on ilmeisesti myös raskaana). Klassinen kaappisuhde samaa sukupuolta olevien välillä, ja toinen päätyy "oikeaan suhteeseen" ja toinen jää rannalle tuskailemaan - samalla kun pikkusieluiset ihmiset lähipiirissä puukottelevat selkään vaikka juhlissa ollaan niin imeliä ja mukavia. Lyriikat ovat vähän väljät, mutta ymmärtäisin että laulaja ei halua luopua siitä ainoasta mikä rakkaudesta on jäljellä = unet/unelmat/muistot, joten hän pyytää ettei niitä(kin) tuhottaisi. Jääpatsaan ympärillä pyörivät demonit ovat ehkä niitä tekopyhiä ihmisiä jotka laulaja näkee "oikeammin" kuin patsaan henkilö itse, mukana lienee uusi rakkaus (mies?) ja ehkä ystäviä lähipiiristä tms. Mitä hienoin video joka tapauksessa ja mielestäni tähän mennessä ainoa biisi millä on mitään mahdollisuuksia edustaa tyylikkäästi Suomea viisuissa. Kovin montaa ei ole enää katsomatta ehdokkaista nääs..

Ehkä tämä nainenkin on muiden nähden "kylmä, jäinen ja etäinen" kulissien takia ja demoni-ihmiset ympärillä ilakoivat "voitostaan".
