umm kalthoum sings" el Atlal",(after singing 'anta omri',not on this tube)in the "olympia"(most famous concert hall in france).This was her only concert in Europe,or maybe the whole west? I'didn't know how to improve the sound.The public couldn't believe that she was actually there, performing abroad the arab countries! nothing like um kulthum voice in all this world........eventhough if you don't understand what she says, this is not a human vioce, this is an instrument with a soul......what power ! what improvisation ! she stands 1 meter away from mic in a large hall...........who dare to this these days?

Amazing. This must have been in the 60s. Umm Kulthum and Fairouz were the first Arab singers to sing in Europe (Fairouz performed one of her best concerts in the Albert Hall of London in 1962).
