For everyone asking, i hjope this helps. The reason it needs to be a lvl 1 is because you NEED it to have 165 ish shield. YES 165. Not 27k or whatever. with that being said, you need a bloodletter that has to roll anything BUT thin red line. if it has thin red line, that will increase your shield to roughly 6k. which is bad. you want 165 shield that must have AMP rolled on to it. AMP increases your damage by 20 percent ish when at max shield at the cost of your shield. so everytime you shoot, your shield will deplete to zero. Now, one last piece that you NEED to make this work is a artifact or bloodletter with health regen on it. Everytime you shoot itll deplete your shield, with health regen and bloodletter combo youll instantly regen that shield, thus giving you 5 secs of godmode and 20 percent damage every time you shoot. You can literally solo anything. Even hemavorous on tvhm and mayhem 10/11. only way to get a lvl 1 is to join your friend who is at mayhem 10 on YOUR lvl 1 character. you gotta pray you get amp on it. if you dont, its a useless shield. i got lucky and got it in 3 tries. 15 keys total. hope this helps!

Just wanted to chill and level my Immortal Moze build to 72 in Slaughter Shaft. Annnnnnddd it's gone! So it turns out that losing Phalanx Doctrine stacks triggers the shields on full effect which means that you no longer have true control if your fighting a cluster of enemies. I have been triggering health gate due to this change. *EDIT* Also shooting indefinitely doesn't seem to refresh the shield. They seem to of added a cooldown as I'm taking damage despite not letting go of the trigger.

@@Tr1p5 Since Bloodletter is a legendary class mod it essentially means that the allocated skill points on the class mod *MUST* total up to 5. Unfortunately it won't work as desperate measures can only give a maximum of 3 skill points, which would mean the remaining 2 points would be put in to thin red line which would destroy the build completely due to shield size being too big refill. The only way your getting round this is not installing the update or using a modded bloodletter class mod that only gives you desperate measures.

Spend more Vault Card keys on your level 1 character to reroll the Super Soldier shield. The first time does not drop Amp, and it randomly might after that. I got it on my second try and I had to spend another 5 Vault Card keys.

It's still pretty doable post-SS nerf as long as you stay above 50% max hp for health gate. Elemental Projector is harder to proc without downing yourself now however, depends on the weapon used (e.g. Scoville'll wreck ya, Boomer won't). Tenacious Defense capstone skill helps A LOT to survive your own DOTs. Besides that, just don't get caught in your own slash damage before the protective barrier's up (aka don't shoot your foot, self-inflicted damage ignores health gate) or when it re-procs (you're vulnerable for a few frames).

There is some things going on with the SuperSoldier and Phalanx doctrine to. When it cools down Moze go faster and faster, flying like a speedhack until she fires her gun. Jumping out of a vehicle seems to trigger it to. I have a 65 SuperS with amp and Power charge + a Bloodletter

Mostly unrelated silliness: thanks to Moze's new class mod, I can get Iron Bear to survive ONE hit from his own rocket pods on Mayhem 10/11! (also from the explosive minigun, but still). Mostly because I rolled one that gave +2 to the purple tree skill that grants both IB damage and damage resistance, and with putting 1 point in the skill itself I had an extra 135% IB damage resistance (and 54% damage). It's only the one rocket/explosive bullet though, so not really much help (presumably also works for the grenade launcher).

It can, but it won't regen instantly like his.

It does. The lower level the shield, the lower the shield capacity. The lower the shield capacity, the faster it can regenerate from the Bloodletter / Health Regen mod. The refilling of the shield to full capacity from the amp shot triggers the invincibility. A level 1 shield has an instant refill with high level Bloodletter / Health Regen relic combos. Higher level shields and skills that boost shields hinder the instant refill and thus pause the invincibility.

Anything with a very low capacity should work. As long as the health/shield regen is higher than shield capacity, it should instantly refill. That instant refill after an amp shot is key. So, the lower level the shield, the easier it is to fill. If you get a level 4 shield this way, you can get a level 1 shield.

As soon as you get a Bloodletter and a Health Regen relic, with the slots to equip them. Keep the shield at Level 1 and upgrade those other gear as you can.
