** On January 8, 2017 i've changed my Channel Name: subbz2k is now umonox! Check out the following video if you want to know more about this decision: • I've changed my Channe... Cheers :-) **
Hey there. In this Tutorial we will create a quite powerful (Sub)Bass with the Elektron Analog Four using its Filters as the main Driver for enhancing the Lowend. Bass is pretty low; i recommend some good Headphones :) Im talking about "enhancing" and "beefing" up the Bass Sound quite often; thats because my initial plan was to do exactly this. After moving on i did not realize that i was creating an actual Subbass in the end :-) Sorry for that.
Sound is completely unprocessed - as with all my Tutorials. I only adjusted some levels afterwards, thats all.
Hope you like it and that it is of use for you. If it is, then please leave a Like and / or a Comment - and subscribe to dont miss whats coming up next :)
All the best,
subbz2k

i wish it didnt take a 15 minute tutorial to get a halfway decent sub bass on the A4. Why oh why didnt Elektron just make the oscilators sound better. Really struggling with this synth, its quite soulless

frequency to 52 and keytrack to 32 is the best in my experience. dont tune the vcos just play lower notes.

Would if at all be possible for you to make a tutorial on a bass sound similar to gaist - the drums / gaist - trippin

should be quite "easy" to achieve: take the subbass from this tutorial, add a second oscillator with a saw wave, use the first filter and filter it down. now take an lfo, assign it to the pitch of the second oscillator, make it oneshot and play with the speed. you should come close to their bass sound - at least you get a starting point. i guess that this bass sound is made in a similar way. good luck! :)

Hi, thanks for your work! I would like to add a little review on this video useful to learn or to complete our knowledge in sound design. I would have found useful an explanation on the suppression of the transient (click) that troubles me and that does not give a maximum clarity of the bass. I also want to add that it is a great job and very useful for lots of people, I encourage you to continue (why not an explanation about deep pads?) Congratulations, I love your tutorials !

hey man. thanks for your kind words! im glad you like it! do you want to use portions of the video for a review? sure - just move on :) let me know when its done; im keen on having a look at it! :) and yeah, i will continue to do those tutorials and i have Pads on my to do list for a long time already. havent really went into creating them yet because ... pads take some time and i usually only have the weekend ... but im with you ... a pad tutorial has to come online one day, for sure! :)

xD Finally someone who noticed it .... :-) Nope, this Damage happened on my move into the new Appartment round about a year ago. I did not had the machines in their Box, took the A4 along with other stuff in two hands and while entering the Appartment i stumbled over the doorstep and the A4 plunked on the ground - exactly at the page Button it hit the ground close to the doorstep :-( I was shocked, but happy to notice that its just cosmetic damage. Everythings still working nice and smooth :) dont take too much stuff in your hands when you are on a hurry. thats what i learned from that :)
