Two things: Ejecting the kid depending on what he said. If any profanity is used towards an umpire, he's gone 100%.. People actually defending this coach is insane. Come out like a raging lunatic because the ump said something back to one of your players....should the ump say anything to them after he already ejected, no but it doesn't merit that reaction. Way to set the example.

Funny how travel ball allows getting lead yet those pitchers never leard to hold runner on or slidestep to plate...yet my freshman son has thrown out more than stole and gives props to his pitchers for not high knee tryn "look good" or atleast guessing right when think kids gone steal!

The coach should be done with at least five games! The coach, player, and fans lack of respect for the game and the officials needs to stop. The only way this will stop is when the State Athletic Associations and the schools put a stop to it. There should be NO TOLERNACE what's so ever for disrespect towards the officials. I get it, everybody wants to win. The officials are human just like those who are complaining about the call. I encourage every coach and parent to at least officiate one game behind the plate and one from the field and their perspective will change completely!

Umps like this need to go. You should never talk to the players and under no circumstances try to extend the argument. Very unprofessional and simply childish.

Judgement calls should never be argued. The umpire makes calls on both teams. Moët good, some not so. Never let an umpire decide a game. Always the losing team, legitimately getting beat whine the most. Usually marginal players struggling to hit.

@@kimmagdalein4724 Umps need to understand that people won't like the calls they make. But it is part of the job and trying to extend it by ejecting a player that is on his way back to the dugout is stupid. This ump wasn't trying to get rid of the problem, he was intentionally making it bigger.
