It comes down to game management. The better you manage the game and keep ahead of situations, the less you end up ejecting. So you're videos are great at helping this.

I loved all the sarcasm that Rich didn’t pick up. Loved this video and the ejection video

Great job guys I thoroughly enjoyed the ejection video and I saw it in my recommended also. I am a baseball/softball umpire from Australia and we don't often get tutorials like this so that is awesome. Great Job John, Kurt & co.

I think it is hilarious a lot of people thought there were a lot of ejections in an ejection video. Yeah and there are a lot of homeruns in a homerun video.

As a coach, it’s great to see both sides and understand what’s considered “too much” and what was tolerable. Obviously don’t want to get personal with umpires and I have treated them with respect if there was a call I disagreed with. We all make errors, coaches and umpires alike. You get further when you respectfully talk to each other and set good examples for the youth. Great videos both ejections and comment responses.

1:09 - "Baiting coaches into ejections?" Gallante is the KING of this....putz Asking a coach to SIMPLY repeat himself is a PERFECT example...

FYI, I also came across this video on a KZbin recommendation. I have been a soccer referee for over 11 years and search for officiating videos often. These game management techniques apply to several sports. Good stuff!

I honestly didn't think the ejection video would generate more quality content but damnit I'm glad it did 😂. Great stuff guys!

What are you able to do if you feel that an umpire at the High School level is diliberately calling strikes on one certain team when they are clearly balls. Are we able to argue at that point, or should our coach go about it in a different manner?

Film it then bring it to a higher up dont try to call him out it will just make things worse.

Its not your job or responsibility to address that. You have to play to the best of your ability given whatever circumstances you're in. Let your coach deal with it.

Could you do a video on dealing with players? Im currently a 2nd year umpire and I’ve been evaluated from D1 college umpires and they’ve taken me under their wings and been working JuCo baseball. I just want more tools to use for tool belt.

Now I'm not a trained umpire but I did ump a local league (8-13 year olds) the past 2 years (not doing it this year bc it would interfere with me scorekeeping for a local spring and summer hockey league) and although I did not throw anyone out I did come close to ejecting a coach once for repeatedly questioning my strike zone. After I watched a few of these videos I kinda regret not umping this year but the pay for scorekeeping hockey is better than what I got paid for umping
