Enjoying this machine series. Hoping you can get it going in the next few videos. My B/W "Pong" machine generates a similar "straight up and down" signal to what you're seeing.

Hello! The manual says (on the page 26, paragraph 5.1.1.8) that it must beep on keypress any keys except СБР, СС, УС. Also on the page 52 indent number 4 says the same. RF modulator is working on channel 5 according to the manual (page 52, 7.4). Some special keys are decribed in paragraph 7.5 ( page 53). Key СТР clears all screen ( page 54 ) =) Did you do dump of the monitor ROM? There are rom listing on the 29-33 pages. And differences for 32kb version in the next table. This EPROMs can lost data after more 10 years.

It shouldn't say PAL - Ukraine (as all the eastern block countries) was using SECAM at that time.

Indeed! Actually it should just be a B&W signal (just luma, no chroma) so isn't technically SECAM either, I guess ... more correctly "System D" or "System K" (I didn't know that, I just spent an hour trying to find what the B&W system was called!) ... when colour was overlaid it became known as "SECAM-D/K" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broadcast_television_systems

@@Brfff Maybe this en.wikipedia.org/wiki/625_lines ? Also, there were series of articles about радио-86рк in the Радио magazine in 1986. I think one article was about how the TV output circuit works.

you need a fpv monitor that doesnt bluescreen.
