next should prolly split our cities into 6 zones, with a 15 minute travelling cutoff that you get a pass you can use to go beyond your district 100 times a year ... and if you go beyond that 15 minute zone more than 100 times a year you get fined ... oh ... wait .... oxford and other cities are doing that starting in 2024 ...

Those silly far right conspiracy theorists were talking about social credit scores, personal carbon footprints and digital currencies a few years back... They're never going to happen really...!! Or climate lockdowns...no one would believe that. Oh god..! The Biased British communists are talking about expropriating 30% of people's land as though no one will notice... People should start to wake up and see we are in the grip of a globalist neo communist feudal take over and these climate grifters on the bbc are the some of the useful idiots helping facilitate it....

Shame to see a BBC-presenter being a bad role-model again! When a presenter sits in a TV-studio in a short-sleeved-top, indicates that said studio must be heated to 20 degrees Celsius, probably more, on 18th of December'22! Obviously, the living-cost-crisis - ie. saving money for heating, as well as reducing Greenhouse-gas-emissions, is of no concern to this presenter! Shame on you & the other presenter who also sat in a short-sleeved-top in that studio; too lazy to adjust yourselves to seasons of weather, as well as making an effort to mitigate the climate-crisis!

It’s a tall order, rainforest’s are destroyed due to logging and for farming, wetlands drained out for buildings due to rapid urbanisation, and how can governments raise $600 billion to fund to protect some insect, worm, turtle, polar bears?! ; preserving habitats, eco systems ,the environment can be done individually ,in personal capacity, but poorer countries have their own problems, their Governments are obligated to become a food basket, food source to the world, the Amazon, the carbon sink is depleting and there is even proposal to initiate oil drilling in reefs of the Amazon river which is an unexplored area and there is a possibility of many new species being discovered. It’s a tough ask, with none to take responsibility for the insects, animals, and key species responsible for maintaining ecological balance.

Population needs to be in balance with jobs, resources, nature and the environment. Having a bigger population in any country than the country can support makes no sense. Access to food, water, shelter, energy and jobs should guide population levels. The worlds population is still expected to add another billion people to feed, clothe and produce pollution. Humans are crowding out all other species of plants and animals. Education and birth control are key to reducing poverty and hunger. Having a child that you can not provide for yourself is cruel and irresponsible. We need solutions not just sympathy. Endless population growth is not sustainable on a finite planet. Every country needs to "TRY" to be more self sufficient. When there are not enough resources to sustain a population something has to give. Countries need to focus on quality of life for their citizens and not just quantity of life for cheap labor. Why import fossil fuels when wind and solar energy can be produced locally and solar energy can power electric vehicles. We need solutions not just sympathy.

Yeah, we who live in South Africa, were told by some Russian billionaire the other day, that we don't have the infrastructure for renewable power (wind and solar), and that we should upgrade all our coal power stations instead (all our tax money in the pockets of the government). Firstly, the ANC who have been in rule since 1994, are just corrupt to the core. SA has had load shedding since 2005 and currently, the vast majority of people in SA sit without power for half the day. Only a few people in SA can afford solar, and many years ago wind mills were set up in the southern parts of SA, BUT GUESS WHAT, they serve none of us. Also SA is so rich in minerals etc, but other countries get our best, and we who live in this country, pay deary for the scraps.

So, could our beloved politicians here in the UK, just tell us how much money they personally took for environmental projects and how much of them ended up in their private pockets instead of in the development of these projects.
