I haven't watched in a while, but I'm happy to see you still at it. Wanted to compliment you on the very careful and well lit unboxing.

Thank you very much. I don’t think I’ll ever stop loving board games and finding a deep enjoyment and fascination with TTRPG’s has been so much fun. Almost like being a kid again.

"Comanchería" is my Fav single player wargame (because I live in the American western dessert). It has an excellent narrative with many replay options and is also challenging. You are constantly deciding on developing culture and influence verses kicking the stuffing out of your enemies and triggering retribution. I also love the "If you are not with us, you are against us" dynamic with neighboring tribes. Resource limitations are another concern. The gameplay is clean and elegant. There are more decisions than you can actualize within the timeframe of the game. Redverse Reavers by Legion Wargames is a close second to this simulation. Redverse Reavers of the South African Boers wars is a repayable puzzle with copious decisions but lacks the narrative of this great classic. The gameplay of "Comanchería" is unapologetic with the trade of captives/slaves, the burning of settlements, and the fight for human rights. It was the first American "Vietnam". After playing, I predict most players will flock to books such as "Dark Undercurrents" (Lakota) and "Empire of the Summer Moon" (Comanche). It is a misunderstood history with fascinating stories of the human struggle against nature and each other. Might I even suggest "The life and adventures of James P. Beckwourth: mountaineer, scout, and pioneer, and chief of the Crow nation of Indians" to wet the appetite? Beckwourth's accounts were the inspiration for Robert E. Howard's western series and Conan series! The James P. Beckwourth's autobiography is in the public domain and is available on sites like the Project Gutenberg. Librivox.org has his audio book for free download too.

Great comment I will check out these books. I have read Empire of the Summer Moon which is what drew my interest to this game.

@@BondingWithBoardGamesRPGsZharel Anger's "Dark Undercurrents" is relatable, immersive, and quite deep. It is a firsthand experience of the rapid gains in technology and the growth of the U.S. during the Plains War from Little Crow to the death of Custer. The cultural adaptations over that timeframe were breathtaking. James Beckwourth is a sociopathic disaster that I could not put down. He was truly a man born out of the conditions around him. If I encounter you, Judd, or Greg at a convention, I'll be sure to chat or take in a few rounds of a historic game.

You have to learn how to control focus on your camera.

You ain’t lying. The rule is don’t put my hands in the shot or if I do wait for resolution. I get going with a head of steam and don’t see the focus break.
