REASONS for deferring of India's NHRC accreditation in GANHRI - 1. Paris Principles were not adhered to. 2. Lack of transparency in NHRC appointments. 3. No Minority or Female representation on the NHRC panel. 4. Conflict of interest caused by appointment of police to oversees investigation. CONSEQUENCES - 1. NHRC will not represent India at UN-Human Rights Council. It would significantly limit the NHRC's role on the international stage. 2. Full membership gives voting rights or right to hold leadership position in GANHRI, and no membership means no influencing/contributing to the shaping of global human rights standard. 3. This could be seen as a vote of no confidence in the NHRC's effectiveness. It might lead to increased international scrutiny of India's human rights record. India currently still hold a Grade-A accreditation, allowing full GANHRI participation. However, there have been questions about its independence, and a renewal of accreditation could be challenged.

There is certain rule and regulations of all International bodies for the proper functioning..yes there could be some ammendment on their regulations but surpassing all the rule of these bodies is not fair...nowadays India's stances in many cases we started to reject all the report and research if it is not in our favor...I'm agree the condition of human rights in India is not on that stage.

Yes the appointments to NHRC are not independent- the committee to select the members & chairmen has a Ruling Party majority & they can select any loyal person to those positions.
