We are all familiar with the Mahabharata. Here, there is one particular story of the Pandava brothers being trained by Dronacharya in archery. Dronacharya takes them to a forest and places a wooden bird atop a tree and asks each brother to shoot it down by aiming for its eye. He then asks them what they saw. One by one, the brothers replied that they saw the bird, the tree, the branches, etc.
But when it was Arjuna's turn, he confidently said that he only saw the eye of the bird. This answer impressed Dronacharya. Can you guess why?
It is because Arjuna's focus was solely on the target unlike the other brothers who were distracted by the surroundings.
Arjuna was able to eliminate all distractions.
In the realm of concentration and productivity, focus equals elimination. By removing all distractions, we can direct our attention and effort towards what truly matters leading to increased effectiveness in achieving our goals.
So, like Arjuna, cut out the noise, hone in your goals and shoot!
