Condensed steps: 1: Update iPhone and iTunes software. 2: Try using a new lighting cable or a different USB port. 3: Check the amount of space on laptop and clear 2-4GB of space. 4: Replace iPhone Please do not delete the iPhone backup folder to make space! Another possible option you can try is copying the backup on a USB and copying it to another computer. However, I do not recommend this option.

Dude! Thank you for posting this. I had tried seemingly everything. That includes updating my iOS and iTunes versions, using an authentic cord, etc. What really fixed things for me was realizing that the storage on my computer was being reduced by all the backups it was duplicating, and after I deleted all of those, and made sure I had enough space, it finally worked.

So I found the backup folder and there are like 9 extra backups did you recommend deleting them or just free up some space in the computer. Thanks for the assistance.

What can I do if I can see the back up on my laptop (apple/ mobilesync/ backup) but when I go to iTunes I can't find it there and can't press the restore button and it says I never backuped to this pc

That’s a different issue that I have not come across. My recommendation is to copy the backup to a USB for safe keeping. Uninstall and reinstall iTunes. Make sure the backup is placed back in the mobilesync once completed. Retry the restore backup.

Hi Bro, To fix a problem with hiding and unhiding the App Store, I have contacted Apple. They have tried different options but none of them resolved the issue. So they have suggested to take backup data of the data and try factory reset and restore the data from the backup. So I have taken backup using iTunes on my computer. No issues reported while the backup was taken. I have proceed with factory reset and tried to restore the data from the backup. After around 6 hours the restore failed saying backup is corrupt. As suggested by Apple I have tried to restore with Apple Devices App but none of them worked and they are now suggesting to try third party tool to recover the data. Any suggestions on how we can restore photos and videos from the backup. I don’t think the data can be restored back to iPhone. The first restore has failed due to lack of space on C drive as my backup is 64GB and the restore has created another copy while restoring from backup.

You have to put the backup on your phone using the ITunes software. I recommend copying it on a USB so you don’t lose it!

Is it located in the right folder? Copy it just in case it’s lost. Make sure it’s in the right Apple folder.

My Ipjone SE 2020 has exactly the same problem, keeps duplicating the pc so it gets full... So, i have a tiny tiny bit of the screen glass broken, does that mean that apple won´t fix the problem because i lose warranty? We all know how they work with any excuse...

That’s a very good question and I honestly don’t know. If the phone is still under warranty you’d think you’ll be okay. They may add a fee for the screen replacement?

If the backup keeps recopying itself then it’s likely an internal issue with the iPhone. Every time I tried to restore the backup, the folder would duplicate. Problem was fixed after replacing the phone.

@@boosti_alex1428 is it an internal issues of the iPhone if there’s a copy of the backup every time you try to backup or multiple copies for a single backup attempt . This is stressing me cause first my system storage was 46gb so in attempts to clear is I backed up then reset now it keeps failing to restore backup . I even tried restoring on my old iPhone which I had rested and same except this one fails straight away . Tried to replace cable as well. One of my family members has a spare iPhone and I will try it tomorrow as I have literally spent hours today stressing to fix this .

Using a third party software you can try to extract your photos from the backup on pc and delete it from then backup to clear some storage and keep the photos on pc . I tried this but I accidentally deleted my backup so idk if it will work and I just had to setup phone as new

- My macbook has latest version (it means now no use iTunes, it has in Finder directly) - My iphone has latest version - My backup folder has ~100GB => Try to reset, restart, update,... & try again so many times ==> after 5 - 10 minutes, failed with the same error message.

Heyyyy I was soo down thought lost everything tried everything from updating to deletling redundant backups to new cables three computers moving the backup to different PCS and hard drives. And Guess What I got a Apple Care Swap and SNAP It worked. The new replacement took the back up. I am soo grateful for this video. I had to convince the Apple techs and finally a kind rep over the phone sent a new one and it worked. Thank you so much @boosti_alex😀
