I started getting this error after a software update, did every troubleshoot, took it to Apple Store but nothing. I think this is an intentional bug put by apple so that we buy new iPhone, so frustrating!

After dropping my phone from the top of football bleachers, the camera quit working and I began receiving that same message. After watching this video and refusing to do a “RESET” I decided to just bang my phone on my kitchen island. Lord behold!!!! It works just fine now!!!!

My phone just has the issue after I changed a phone case, but it not able to fix when I change the case back, it is apple’s issue although the camera working fine but every time open the camera it set 2x zoom by default. I really disappointed about this issue and even I upgraded to the newest version of IOS. Maybe it’s time to change to an android phone

I updated the software, made factory reset but couldn't fix. Went to apple store to fix but even they couldn't fix it, in the end they gave me new one since the warranty didn't expire.

@@georgez2740 no need. If you change the camera at Apple Store, it costs around 104$, They couldn't fix it at Apple store even, that's why they gave me new one since I still had warranty period of 20 days :)

I just update to 16 my camera star acting unresponsive then came out with camera is not authentic apple so I reset it and nothing work I contact apple pretty much didn’t help because my phone was out of guarantee that’s bu***st they just wants you buy another new version phone
