Hello sir , i got confused with a question regarding the structure preventing the upward movement of the thyroid swelling, in one the unacademy lectures it was told that steronthyroid prevents the upwards movement of thyroid but now its berry ligament you are saying sir , got confused sir please help @Dr Mohammed Azam

you are right dear. it is insertion of sternothyroid which prevents upward extension. no confusion about that.

Sternohyoid prevents the upward movement Berry ligament prevents the downward movement.
