Back when this game first came out in the OCG, most monsters were so bad it wasn't an issue to just run 3 of every Exodia piece and use the spares as meat shields and discard fodder, and Sangan and Witch could also activate from hand to search whatever else you need, making the strategy almost immune to discard effects. Obviously, that was so busted and overused because of such that it got all the pieces limited permanently and forced an errata that predates the TCG. Good times.

SeeReax's deck is super similar to one I ran in a DS game (I think Nightmare Troubadour) except I'd use Sangan (to get another piece when it's destroyed) and not Exodia Necros. I'd always win turn 1 or 2 in the game, but going up against a mill deck is a great counter (plus really good content since it'd be annoying as hell)

There are a lot of ban cards that are just straight up busted. From the old days I'll say Magical Scientist. The dude was behind the first FTK deck (Exodia technically is a FTK but it's pretty inconsistent to do exactly first turn) and I don't see him ever getting unbanned. The ability to just summon any 1-6 star fusion monster, get their effects and then only pay 1000 LP is crazy. All while being not once per turn? Shit was wild back then

back in the day. that mill deck would have gotten it's butt kicked by that exodia deck. Sangan & Witch used to pop regardless of where they came from, so when they got milled, he would have been able to get his pieces Uber quick.

Delinquent Duo is beyond broken. Non once per turn forcing your opponent to discard 2. Throw in yata(ik that's not the point) its a game ender. Still open 3 of it you discard your opponents whole hand and can Duo again the next turn lmao.

The most broken card of all time is Graceful Charity. Deck construction is all about probability and statistics. The probability of getting 1 or more copies of a 3 of in your opener with a 40 card deck is roughly 1 in 3. The probability of opening one of those *or* a graceful jumps up to 57%. The probability of getting that 1 card within the first 8 is 50%. All in all, without even considering the fact that some cards WANT to be discarded, or are usable in the GY, Graceful Charity already makes decks mathematically far more consistent than they reasonably should be.
