To be honest, I think the best part of watching him draft vintage cube is hearing him laugh at Goldspan Dragon's chub. And that's saying something, because he makes great vintage cube videos.

This might be one of the most synergistic and stacked drafts youve done in a while, we have come a long way from drafting white because its open

I think this was just a time where another color besides white was open to be honest. I've had lots of decks with this many playables in red/white and blue/white that trophied just as easily.

Haha I'm not sure how much there would be to learn exactly, this deck pretty much drafted itself :) It would be a good example of what the benefits of being in the open lane would be, I suppose

I just downloaded the trilogy to my kindle :) Will update after I finish it (I'm reading it amongst 6 other books so it might take a bit. I like to mix up my fiction and nonfiction)

I gave this one a like before I even watched it, just based on the title. I was not disappointed. I lost my shit when you were contemplating brining in Avalanche Riders just to piss your opponent off. Love it. This is definitely one of my favorites of all your cube videos. 😂

I've found it's sometimes harder to make a deck when you're so open that literally every card is in your colors than when you're scrounging for solutions. There's too many good options... but it's a nice problem to have lol You got everything except perfect fixing.

other players when they see goldspan dragon: A nice flying beater, can really close out games. good in counterburn because upon casting you can still leave up mana. always gives good value even under removal- solid card, I'll take it. Caleb: Chonky!! I'll take it.

When I have tough cuts to make in draft, especially 5 or more, I take everything out then build the deck over from scratch. I find it is easier to not put something in than take it out.

I’m pretty sure Caleb just said Eidolon of the Revel is card advantage because it kills your opponent, therefore giving them fewer cards to cast. These are the fresh takes I’m here for
