For me it makes sense, everything has a place and a purpose; if you didnt design it and get used to it yourself its surely a bit overwhelming. I could surely do a better job of ui design, especially for an audience, but I like to see alot of info to guide my intuition and I can process it quickly. The way I tend to explain it is I play with my brain, not my eyes. With my experience I know what is going to happen in almost every game I just need to be able to see when it is
